Question Camera Policy?

I'm going to see Lindsey on Saturday at the Ryman in Nashville, and their web site indicates that the "Camera policy is subject to change at the request of the performing artists." I checked lindseybuckingham.com and didn't see anything about cameras. Should I plan to take my camera? Has Lindsey ever commented on how he feels about pics being taken during the shows??

Default I don't think he cares

Just from watching him. He saw me taking pictures of him once...in Philly during SYW...and was actually trying to help me out a bit by stopping his movement for a second and I would snap one second too late. He did this a couple of times and then laughed at me because my reflexes were kind of crappy.

Nice to know I amuse people sometimes

To be on the safe side, take a disposable. If they confiscate it, you haven't lost a "real" camera.

I just called the Ryman re: Lindsey's show Saturday and they said that there was "no cameras or audio" listed for the show.

You still may want to bring a disposable....just in case.

Default Take. Your. Cameras

Don't listen to the no cameras BS. If I had done that last weekend, I would have no pics of Justin in concert. ALWAYS take a camera.

Well Lindsey has photos of himself on his website. His fans took them on the SYW tour so I doubt that he has a problem with cameras.

It says on my tickets "no cameras or video." Of course, if you have a cell phone that takes pictures, you will be able to take it in. That is what I am going to do. My phone has video and a camera, so I will take a few and post them on here.

That is odd because it doesn't say that on all of my other Lindsey tickets. Must just be at that venue. I never use flash so I don't see any problem.

i'm not going to try. it's hard to get a great shot unless you're righhhht there. i don't like seeing fans with half-opened-mid-scream mouths and stuff like that. and by the layout of the ryman.. the first row appears to be a little bit more distant from the stage than at some other places. i'm not going to risk losing my camera (because i would just leave it sitting somewhere probably) for a bunch of disappointing shots.

Aren't they filiming the Ryman Gig for that CMT show? I thought that was what the deal was. That could also be why they aren't allowing Cameras.

No, that gig is on Thurs night and it's probably a private invitation audience.

dont you have a digital camera with a zoom? I think you can get zoom disposables now even. No sense in paying all that money for show, and not being able to take pics. I got some class shots on the front row of the Say You Will show in Jacksonville back in 04.

On my Boston Ticket is doesn't say no camera's. So I guess that means they are allowed. Then again who knows...

Well, I went to see FM In nashville and at the gate they took my disposable and threw it in the bin with the millions of others so I don't want that happening to my digital camera. Any suggestions of how to get it in??

I even had the thing in the lining of my purse. A$$holes pulled it out.

and YAH!! I'm also going to the nash show at the ryman. 2 DAYS!!!!!

Its not that hard! Stick a disposable, or your digital camera in the small of your back where your belt line is! They dont pat people down...you can walk right in with it. Of course, you have to walk normally, which can be tricky.

The only reason you cant have cameras is because the arena and "said" artist isnt making any cash off your photos if you plan on selling them.
