Default John Courage

I was wondering whether anyone could give me some information about J.C.
I understand he was an integral component of the Fleetwood Mac machine stretching back before the Buckingham and Nicks time but then effectively sacked after the Tusk tour. What happened after that though? what did he do next? It must have been tough to have been so involved with one band for a number of years and then suddenly be surplus to requirements. I see he was credited as 'Studio coordinator' for Tango and BTM- what did he do exactly? What does he do now? Any info?

I think he became one of the band member's manager. Christine? Mick? Don't remember which.

Carol Harris writes in her book (interpret that how you may) that after the Tusk tour the band found out that they had not actually made any money after all that touring-- their expenses (hotels, drugs, jets, etc) had eaten up all the profits. She describes a scene where new people like Stevie's solo management (Irving Azoff) and others raised a huge fuss and Mick was fired as band manager and John Courage was fired as road manager because he should have been controlling road expenses.

(Interestingly, Azoff is now Lindsey's manager; he apparently broke off with Tony Dimitriades).

I saw JC at the Tango & BTM tours in Europe. I don't know if he was there for The Dance tour though.

John Courage was listed as Christine's manager on The Dance in 1997.

From 1984 to 1997, she was pretty busy.
