it's amazing how humble Tina was in her acceptance speech too. the woman with solo carrier that had number one hits in every decade and who completely reinvented herself and created a huge new solo carrier after Ike and Tina.

Glen Frey's son has left the Eagles. I wonder how poorly he has been blacklisted by Irving etc. for having the audacity to leave the money making machine.

As a fan of Stevie, I’m totally glad she’s in the RRHOF twice. I’m also glad Tina Turner is, too. If Diana Ross gets inducted for her solo career, I’m not going to say she doesn’t deserve it. |

just because you are a fan of someone, doesn't mean you have to be blind to much larger contributions of other women, who should have been there twice or even more (or were not there even once and were long eligible) before a much smaller solo career needed to be recognized.

Rock on! I also don’t care Stevie was admitted twice before Tina. I just have better things to whine about, that’s all. |

Does anyone remember these humble 90's quotes from Stevie i.e. “Your graciousness is what carries you. It isn't how old you are, how beautiful you are, or how short your skirt is. What it is, is what comes out of your heart. If you are gracious, you have won the game.” It's all so extra hilarious now.

Tina is amazing.as is Cher (still not there solo, just as a duo). or Cyndi. is Diana Ross in there at least twice?
since rnrhof despite all their shortcomings still means something, also good to finally see more women and women-fronted bands finally inducted in recent years, Janet, Pat Benatar, Carole King (2nd time) .Eurythmics, Carly Simon, The Go-Go's... and for most of these names one can easily say - really hof? only inducted now? and then there's incomparable Dolly (whether or not she or you think she is rnr enough). interesting (although now outdated because from 2021) article with very relevant excerpt here: But when compared to others, it makes one wonder. Singer/Actor Cher has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and is recognized as one of the world's top-selling female recording artists of all time. She’s had 7 Grammy Award nominations and won one Grammy for “Believe.” Cher, a cultural icon and rock legend, completing 26 studio albums, ten compilation albums, two soundtrack albums and three live albums still waits for the nod. And by the way, didn’t Cher set fashion and cultural trends from her stages as a rock Goddess for some four decades? And yet, no doors open for her at the RRHOF. Cyndi Lauper has released 11 studio albums, six compilation albums, five video albums and fifty-one singles. Worldwide, Cyndi has sold approximately 50 million albums. She’s had 16 Grammy Award nominations and won two. Neither of them are in the Hall as yet.much more here, including Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, Gloria Estefan, and the list goes on: https://www.pgsuite.com/culture-arts...l-hall-of-fame

Just paying attention to what they said in interviews 2015-17 and looking at the body language at the Classics (especially GYOW from Classic East), it wasn’t remotely surprising or shocking that there was some type of separation, and it was kind of obvious how it was going to play out. Unfortunate, but not shocking. Getting to actually see the band play “Black Magic Woman,” TMATTYD, “Hypnotized,” and especially “All Over Again” made it completely worthwhile. Hearing Christine trading solos with Mike made it worth it. I’m not speaking about the entire tour, just the shows I attended. As a fan of Fleetwood Mac’s entire body of work, it was refreshing to hear songs beyond the Rumours/SYW eras beyond “Oh Well.” Furthermore, I also got to see Lindsey solo, so I still got to hear “Big Love,” “Tusk,” and ISA, as well as a few deep cuts that I never thought I’d get to see, especially “I Must Go.”

like the main character becoming possessed by the devil (see Marlena in Days). maybe that's apt here?
