Imma weirdo, but I LOVE Empire State. Always have, always will. It's such a fun song!
Mirage kicks Tango to the curb.

I think Tango In The Night has nine great songs, with Stevie's latter two songs and the final song on the album (which I still like) being the only three that aren't. |

I love both Mirage and Tango. I love that they are different, too. Tango is pretty powerful stuff in the writing. Even WISYA is sung with passion and angst.
I do also love Empire State. Nice kick way to kick it up on Side 2. Especially, after Christine makes you cry.

You know, I've not collected exact statistics but I realize ledgies are more active here on weekdays. I guess their working hours are just on weekends.

Makes me wonder about all the Fleetwood Mac tunes that refer to cities: Empire State, The City, Silver Springs, New Orleans, Illume, Point Me in the Direction of Albuquerque, and so on.

Bad Journey has a lot of cities in it. Bermuda Triangle has a list of them. Both talk of Key Biscayne.

What I realized within the last year is the “The City” is musically “Goin’ Down,” which had been their encore song with Dave Walker.

No way. Both of their egos wouldn't fit in the same room.
