Question Has anyone tried yourmusic.com?

I found their website while researching on allmusicguide.com and I'm impressed with the $5.99 a disc with no shipping (Double cd set were $11.97 & even a 9 cd set was only $41.97.)

Seems to be kinda like Columbia House/BMG's music club, But you are charged only $5.99 a month but you get to purchase a disc for that $5.99.

Has anyone here joined 'em and are they a reliable service?

Sounds like a pretty good deal, although I'm not a member. I read the Terms section, and it is indeed a divison of BMG. I like that you can cancel anytime, and order as many extra albums at the $5.99 price as you want. But it's still BMG, so your selections are limited to what they carry.

For instance, I searched for (who else?) Fleetwood Mac, and they had the 1-disc Rumours and Say You Will and Live (1980) and Behind the Mask, plus some of the blues sets, but didn't have FM, Tusk, Mirage, or TITN. Also, none of the special editions from last year or Live in Boston (even though they carry CD+DVD sets...).

So, just like with the regular BMG club, you're screwed if it's a hot new release you want or if it's something even the slightest bit obscure. For instance, they have NO Rufus Wainwright.

I've been getting CDs from them for awhile now. I lost one of the discs to Bowie's Diamond Dogs double disc reissue and I got the whole set again for only $5.99. If you don't have that one, pick it up because the book that comes with it is fab and the remastered sound is amazing. It's worth getting just for the Alternative Candidate demo and the single mix of Rebel Rebel.

Shipping usually only takes four or five days for me to get stuff.
