![]() What is your ancestry? Do you have any interesting tales from way back when?
I'm although Australian, most of my ancestors came from the British Isles in the late 1800's. On my mothers fathers side, my came from Sicily and left during World War II. There isn't much information about my fathers mother, but there are talks that she could be of Spanish/Welsh descent. There are other talks too, that my great-great-great grandfather was maori.

![]() Um, I'm Jewish and most people can't spell or pronounce my last name, but it's the same one as a singer's, but with the spelling changed slightly. As for genealogy, I just know they're from all over Europe so i'm just a mutt

![]() I know sweet feck all about my ancestry, owing to the fact that I have no relatives above parent/aunt/uncle age to ask anymore. I do know my Mother's Grandparents on her Mother's side were Irish, and her Grandparents on her Father's side were Scottish. And on my Father's side there's stray Chinese DNA. Rather odd combination really.

![]() On my dad's side my grandma's parents are from Italy. I don't know where though. I should ask my Great-Grandma since she lives 15 minutes away from me. I think I heard Sicily at one point.
My grandpa's parents on my dad's side are from Greece. That is all I know. For my mom's side she's 100% Irish but I don't know when they came to America. I should defiantly look into this. Sweet I'm the first one who's Greek ![]()

![]() It’s interesting finding out where your ancestors lived and what they did. My brother spent time tracking down our parent’s family history. My father’s family can be traced back about 300 years and they all lived, in and around, what is now the village of Minster Lovell in Oxfordshire (UK). My mother was Italian and born in Venice. Her great grandparents (on her mother’s side) fled Russia at the time of the Revolution and settled in Switzerland and then Italy after the Second World War.
I was hoping that my brother would uncover some scandal or rogue in the family ![]() ![]() |

![]() Mom's side - Italian. (Both her mother and father's families were from southern Italy, I think.)
Dad's side - German, English, Irish. My paternal grandfather is mostly German, with a little English. We've got the name traced back to the arrival of our German ancestors in Pennsylvania in the 1700s. |
