Default Background singers

I kind of wonder that too-I just assumed they were Stevie's backup singers..

Half of me wishes that awesome (evolved from '97) versions of "Bleed To Love Her" and "My Little Demon" both make it onto the new album because I think they are two of LB's best songs ever, and the other half wishes that they don't so that there is more track space for songs that I haven't heard/haven't been officially released before!

I don't mind if Miranda is on the new album, I think it's good but it's not one of my favourites from the GOS songs. If it is on the album it will be funny because it may well be the final stage in of the 16 year old evolutionary chain of "Big Love"...

Big Love (TITN'87) -> Doing What I Can (OOTC'92) -> Big Love (OOTC tour/Dance Tour'97) -> Miranda(2003).

Who the HECK is singing the background vocal in THROWN DOWN?? It has been DRIVING me crazy.......not Christine, not Sheryl, didn't sound like any of Stevie's girls.......WHO IS IT??? lol.....

Yeah really...i doesn't sound like Sharon...MAYBE Lori...i dunno...not that i usually analyze background vocals but that is just my opinion...

I don't know....you know that whole line in the background that goes, you know...."something, something, something....lol....worry baby, there's nothing left to say"........I can't figure out who it is.....it almost sounds Tori Amos-esque to me.....but obviously it's not. lol.

I'd like that as well, but I do love The Dance versions of all of the 3 songs you mentioned.

Isn't one of the backing vocalists on Thrown Down Mindy Stein? I'm just guessing of course but she's the only person associated with the group I can think of who sounds like this. Sharon may be in there too but buried low in the mix.

With regard to the tracklisting for the new album, does anybody else hope that Anabel Lee will be included? I love this song and think with some inventive arranging courtesy of Lindsey, it could be as moving as Gypsy. I guess it doesn't stand a strong chance of inclusion due to the fact that Stevie didn't write the lyrics but I'd sure be pleased if it was.

yes, i am, and very much so.
this song has LOTS of potential. i think the fact that the poem is so commonly known simply forces this song to be very catchy (hey, even i know this poem by heart, and i wasn't exactly raised on 19th century american literature...) it's one of the very few stevie demos i actually listen to. i'd be surprised NOT to find this song in the new album.

Their 2003 World Tour will be called "The Peacekeepr Tour" - Which means it is most likely the name of the album.

Could be, unless they do what they did in '87, when they called the tour the Shakin' the Cage Tour. I think Stevie did that a few times, too. Wasn't the '81 tour called the White Winged Dove Tour, & the '91 tour the Whole Lotta Trouble Tour?

I got some rather dismal news a day or two ago. I heard that the album was very recently transformed from a double CD into a single CD with 19 tracks on it. Mark Needham mixed the tracks, & Bernie Grundman is mastering the album.

I'm not sure why the possible flip-flop between double & single CD release, but I sure hope it's a double when it hits the stores. More tunes are more tunes!

Alternatively that rings bells for a Lindsey solo album sometime this century or before he kicks the bucket, but still.... Stupid mixed messages and RUMOURS! Lol!
