And I thought the lyric was “indifferent-“ guess I’ll have to listen again to check. It wouldn’t be the first time I butchered the lyrics of a FM song.
The strip club was just a small and very seedy and dirty club. One side was a pool hall and the other was the strip club. No Questions Asked got lots of interest with people going to the juke box to see exactly what song this was.

You caught me in my Blue Lamp shawl when I was channeling my inner Stevie. I reserve the right to change a word or lyric or two. It is indifferent but I said different. In Stevie world, it means the same thing.
Most important, would you ever say that to Bob Dylan?

I know you are either joking or being deliberately provocative by including Illume here.

I forgot to put Not Make Believe at the top of my own list, though. It is probably the biggest clunker ever.

I forgot to add "I Don't Care", for it's juvenile and uninteresting lyrics. Great music, horrible song.

Genuinely hate the song.

I know she was trying to say something profound and meaningful, but it’s just a lot of rambling. It also does nothing for me musically. It’s just kind of there, and I really don’t like her voice on it.

I gave it two or three listens and realized it was never going to connect.

What was the name of the club- No Questions Asked?

As for Bob Dylan; I would and I have. Twice!

Illume is another example of horrible lyrics by Stevie, great production by Lindsey. I love the production, but just like Thrown Down, I can't listen to it because the horrible lyrics. I keep thinking of what could of been. She is a lazy writer.

It is one of those reveries like Sorcerer or Nightbird, not meant to make much linear sense. I love its dark drama and can almost see the burning towers and the chaos and fear of 9/11 in it. To each his own, I guess.

It's my least favorite Stevie song on SYW. But oddly, I don't think it's as dark as it could be.

I consider Smile At You on SYW darker than Illume.

Smile at You is epic on SYW. But I see Illume as epic too, it is probably my fave on the album, was on repeat for months, hooked me instantly.

We're supposed to be naming Mac songs. If we were including non-Mac, you better believe I would put Cheaper Than Free in there. It's just horrible. The lyrics are juvenile, but I can't call them uninteresting, because they're so bad you want to swerve off the road and into a tree.

I was trying so hard not to comment, but your last sentence has me rolling with laughter!

The ultimate review!
