Default "Temporary One" appreciation thread

Because of two people ( ) who just won't give it enough love!

I really love this song. Conveniently, I first heard it when I was going crazy missing someone, and it helped me. It's one of my favorite tracks from The Dance. (Might be my fave). I think Chris (and the others) really rock out with this song and it makes me feel good every time I hear it, regardless of what's going on with me.

Are you being a smartass?

Oh, and your new sig is incorrect--there is no "and" in the lyrics.

I love Temporary One. It makes me happy. (The title is odd, though.)

I was going to say the exact same thing, until I saw this. In addition, the harmonies are easy and fun to sing.

I like "Temporary One" alot. It's a good, upbeat song. Of the new Dance songs, I liked this song & "Bleed To Love Her" the best; I wasn't too fond of the other two new songs. It was a good way for her to end Fleetwood Mac, since this was her last Fleetwood Mac song.

You know, I hadn't thought of that before, but I think you're right. The title does seem contradictory to the theme of the song, doesn't it?

What made me even happier about this song is how much Chris seemed to enjoy cracking out the tune...It seemed to be that she really enjoyed doing it, which is always great to see.

I kind of like "The Bridge"... cool imagery, sort of surreal...

One of the MANY things about this song I really like is how Lindsey's guitar solo sounds like a honky-tonk piano instead of a guitar.

That's not only a great alternate song title, but a good title for an album or a tour. Still, lets give credit to Christine for 'Temporary One," -- an unusual, intriguing and slightly ironic title. She could have chosen a more expected mudane title. Keep in mind ....Remember Me, Did You Ever Love Me, Believe Me, Say You Love Me, Think About Me, Got A Hold On Me...

Personally, I really like the song. As someone else mentioned, as a swan song, Christine was consistently good 'til the end. I can overlook the heavily cliched chorus because it's so upbeat and features a group vocal. I particularly enjoy Lindsey's choppy guitar solo.
