...Sticking around and putting up with..... a certain, petite, long haired blonde, for the last 30-something years, I'd say!

In that (fairly) recent radio interview from Toronto, the interviewer asked Lindsey (and Mick & Stevie) to write their own epitaph.

Interviewer: "Lindsey Buckingham, the man who...?"

Lindsey: "...tried to be himself."

That pretty much sums up my feeling.

If I remember correctly:

Interviewer: "Mick Fleetwood, the man who...?"

Mick: "...remembered to be kind."

Interviewer: "Stevie Nicks, the woman who...?"

Stevie: "...wrote great songs."

PS - Christy, the audio of that interview is on Tracy's (burnish.net) audio page. It's the q107 interview.

Question hummm....

Lindsey's greatest achievement....

I think it has to be related with his producer skills... I'm a mac fan more than a LB fan, so I'd choose Rumours instead of Tusk, because Rumours was the turning point, the landmark, it put him in the map...

Yea I'd have to say his single greatest achievement is the Tusk album, no doubt about it!

SYW is a close second....

Default Saving Mick Fleetwoods career in 1974, 1997 and again in 2003

and making Mick a much richer man than he would have been otherwise. Actually - I am half kidding, half serious! His greatest achievement is the whole Rumours era Fleetwood Mac. How is that for being Lindseycentric, but you know something - it is mostly true!

AMEN!! It's one of the most gorgeous tapestries I've ever seen...his history is full of music that has touched my and many others' life...and the tapestry just keeps gettin' better and better, with added colors and pieces. Keep surprising us, Lindsey!

I would have to say leaving one of the greatest bands in 1987. If you think about it....if he did not leave back then...the band could not have evolved into what they have become today.....

Putting the past behind him. Learning to work with Stevie (and Fleetwood Mac) again, and appeciating that what they share together is just pure magic.
