Also because women are involved there is a bit of sexism that may not be with other bands. When a guy acts drugged out and crazy its ok but when a woman does it it's not supposed to happen or has a comedy aspect. Bottom line if you tell the truth and not spin the story, you cant help but to laugh out loud. Sometimes reality is stranger than fiction. Just imagine the material from Stevie alone. The crazy Prince stories. She marries her dead best friend's husband and Don Henley hangs up the phone on her when she calls to tell him about the marriage.
And she thought Robin was rocking the baby's cradle. I'm the type of person who wants to think Robin was doing that, so ... maybe that's why I was a Stevie fan for so long, before the demonic possession of her body and soul was complete. But I liked her quirky talk and wanted to believe some of it could be possible.

But the lyrics!!!

Dreams unwind, and a star will be her lover

She flies through the sky in the velvet of the morning

He gave her a warning!!

OMG, I'm dying.

I remember seeing this mashup of Rhiannon and Dreams. It's actually pretty good!

It looks like the original link is gone, but here's another.

The whole thing is smart. I could quibble and complain that they dramatized a Christine-Stevie rivalry that never was, but it’s still mostly spot on. The way “Christine” plays with her hair, falls over drunk, the white “communion” blouse; and “Mick’s” face! I’ve always wondered why “Lindsey” gets off scot-free without any spoof other than his kimono.

French (Stevie) and Saunders (Christine) come as a couple you know.

I did think they could have given Lindsey a little more spoof, too. And yes, the rivalry of Christine vs Stevie was made up.

But I love the outfit that Stevie is in. It's so spot on. It's a mess!

French and Saunders also do spoofs on:
Titanic.
Madonna.
Thelma and Louise.
Monroe and Russell.
Harry Potter
to name just a few.
They aren’t on TV at the moment but have a pod cast…..”Titting about”
