Stevie tweeted about Stolen Car. No tweet on Queen of Rock Tina Turner's solo induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or Carole King's.

Cher, Lizzo, and more celebrities have commented. She did say she hoped her induction opened the door for more women.

Let me preface all of this by saying I am a fan of Stevie's. While I couldn't bring myself to see the last FM tour, I did see Stevie's last solo tour 4 times. It's sad to say, but Tina Turner (who should have gotten in there for the 2nd time before Stevie) and Carole King (SAME) are of no use to Stevie. They can't help keep her relevant. If Taylor Swift (likely someday) or Haim (likely never) were getting inducted, she'd be all over our IG feeds. Honestly, a little surprised we didn't even hear her give the Foo Fighters a shout out. She's at a point in her career where if you can't help her stay relevant, she wants no part of you.....yet Carole King and TT have never not been relevant. And Stevie has actually always been relevant, she just can't get out of her own way. Or her handlers are as stupid as they appear.

It's sad that Stevie can't applaud and celebrate a black woman who is actually enormously more popular globally and should've been inducted twice in the HOF before Ms. Nicks. But she can post about her dog or how difficult it was for her to stay in the Waldorf on 9/11.

This Elton John duet is a little sh|tty — I mean, it isn’t going to make anybody forget “Levon.” The nice thing for Stevie is that the other songs on this album aren’t much better. Even the Dave Grohl duet is a “Listen to it once and then move on with your life” song.

And yet, no answering for taste, as this Album, Lockdown Sessions is number one in The UK.
I can’t comment on the album as I’ve only heard the Dua Lipa duet (and Stevie’s).
I’m not a big fan of Elton.

But Linda Ronstadt could

Howling! And yes I remember it well. Carrie did a KILLER version of "Different Drum" and Stevie has covered Linda well over the years too

Okay, but did covering Linda Ronstadt ever make her RELEVANT?

I view them as peers. Artists of a similar generation. Stevie shouted from the rooftops how she was the 1st woman to get in the RRHOF twice. Now, just a few short years later, 2 contemporaries of her did, and we hear nothing from her. I find it telling of how she choses to align and assert herself. That said, I also called her out on not acknowledging the Foo Fighters either.

Stevie also got involved in the Linda tribute because Waddy was leading it since he was in Linda's band.
But appearing at that ceremony definitely got her name back out there. It was an all-female tribute (but for Glenn on bg vocals for It's So Easy). First time the HOF induction was done at the brand new state of the art Barclays Center. It was broadcast on HBO.
I think before the HOF induction, the spotlight was on Christine rejoining Fleetwood Mac.
Right after HOF, Stevie went to see Dave in Nashville.

Great points, thanks for flagging. Completely forgot Waddy was in Linda's band. It was also during OWTS and Christine's return. FM was definitely more front and center and in the news than they would have been otherwise. Great points!
