I used to have her address, but haven't come across it for quite some time. There are three people with her name on the Facebooks, but none of them are in Pennsylvania, where she lived.

She bought a dress that Christine had worn on stage, and had it in a glass case in her house. She bought it on eBay, if I remember correctly, from Christine's assistant, (also named Chris).

Those were the days you could get amazing things on Ebay cheap. I told you about the $20 Christine McVie cocktail napkin that I regret not buying in 2000

You're close, but not quite. I'm FB friends with her, so I'd rather not put her name here. Ask me on the Facebooks messenger thingamabobs if you really want to know.

Remember when eBay used to shut down on Thursday nights? Every Thursday night, it was "closed for maintenance".

Yeah, I remember your napkin!

John Boy's right, most of us have been here for a LONG time now. I was lurking here for a couple of years before I joined. People seemed so mean here...I was afraid I couldn't take the heat!

You were very close. My memory is very photographic. Tell it to me, and I'll never remember it. If I see it written, it's often glued in there for eternity.

I remember when Marty was talking about trying out a message board.

I also remember and miss the days of The Penguin and NicksFix jointly hosting chatrooms.

He told me once that he “worked on you” to join. He asked me to join his virtual Benifols at some point, but I was so naive about web technology at that point that I didn’t appreciate what he was trying to do. He cajoled me into joining his early Ledge forum. He may have tagged Jeff Kenney around that time, as well. The Ledge made more “sense” to me, so I split time between newsgroups and that. But then he later banned me.

I was banned there, too, but it was all for the best because I really couldn’t stomach the little children there every Sunday afternoon, reminiscing about their gymnastics competitions and Girl Scout cookie drives. I was told I was evil when I chose a chat nick based on one of the villainesses in James Bond Goldfinger. That was the Nicks Fix head of state who said that — I must have been his Kerensky or his Trotsky because he just never had a nice word to say to me!

Chili dm'd me links to some of my first bootlegs back on the original Ledge ('98-'99 I wanna say?) and I still have those files on an old laptop.

Tragic news indeed...

I very vividly remember when that guy read something that referenced “Songbird” and him saying that he’d never heard that title and thought the author probably meant “Nightbird.” Dumbfounded doesn’t do what I was thinking justice! And that was BEFORE I got into drinking!
