People have also commented on her signing things with her left hand, too

I think I actually said that I didn't think we should be discussing how she shakes her maracas on a family board

Yes she is left handed

Definitely left-handed.

I can tell by the way she plays piano.

yes, she has a pretty strong left hand and is more concerned with keeping the rhythm going than dazzling us with right-hand runs, etc...

Yeah, she has the sound of a left-hander because whereas a right-hander will outline the key by the usual methods--walking the bass, chunk tonality, arpeggio (broken chord), & synchopate against the downboat--Chris uses lefty sound signatures all the time, like 2-note motives that rock back & forth between the thumb & the left index (like on "Angel" or "Don't Stop"), or playing the octave from low to high (instead of high to low, the normal way for a right-hander to do it), as on "Say You Love Me" & "Rhiannon," where the low sounds with the kick drum & the high sounds with the snare or the hi hat.

Also, as has been mentioned, she shakes the maracas left-handed, a sure giveaway. On "Monday Morning," for example, when she plays both maracas & Hammond organ, her right hand does the B3 chords & her left does the maracas. A righty would do it the opposite way. (For a pop & rock pianist, a lefty's right hand is more powerful & dexterous than a righty's left hand--probably even true for classical pianists.)

Christine's erstwhile mate, Stan Webb, once discussed a left-handers different approach to music from his perspective.

Quote:
"l'm left-handed, even though I play guitar right-handed . . . The way I construct solos, I put a lot of things together, if you like, backwards. I'm left-handed in my head so what I do comes out in a way that a right-handed player wouldn't think of. Eric Clapton said to me, 'I've played with everyone but I've never seen anyone play with the technique you've got. I can't follow it. I can't figure it out and I can't tell what you're doing.'"

Us left handers are the only ones in our right minds.
