Christine's voice is much more difficult to replace than Lindsey's(no disrespect). WHO TF is going to sing YMLF and even remotely sound like her?

The answer? Ain't nobody.

Christine McVie IS Fleetwood Mac.

Sheryl Crow would have nailed it. Just ask Stevie.

You know, it's actually sinking in now, that the band of my life is probably done. I hate seeing them at the end stages of life. It's like when your parents die....you know who's up to bat next? YOU!

Oh JFC...here we go with chart numbers again.

Sorry verifiable facts bother you so much.

Default It’s over.......

This is the end of Fleetwood Mac. Christine may have spoke pre maturely without checking with the band but it’s word. She is back peddling a bit now. It would be embarrassing if they attempted to step on the stage again. I couldn’t even bring myself to see them on their last tour. Sad but true.

Me either. Although I bought a tour shirt from it. Some guy on eBay had them(the real tour shirts) a month ago for $12, including shipping. The front only had the penguins, not the fake guys, so I bought it. The fake guys are on the back though, so I'll have to wear it with a jacket!

No dude, that's not the effing point. The point is, you're incapable of having a conversation that involves talking about the artistic careers between two members of a band without using chart positions to prove their artistic credibility as if that's the only thing that matters.

LOL, it has nothing to do with artistic credibility.

Lindsey has tremendous talent and I think he envisions himself as someone who pushes the creative envelope, but he’s also working within the paradigm of the big label music industry. Compared to guys like Robert Pollard (who’s released over 110 albums since 1986) and Richard Thompson, who will play and release whatever they want, whenever they want, however they want, Lindsey falls short. Sometimes their albums are great, sometimes they’re not, but they don’t dwell on albums for years on end. I had hope for Lindsey with SWS, but then Christine came back and he signed with a label.

I’m not debating that Lindsey could do it on his own. He has done it on his own. However, he’s been sitting on his album for three years so he can tour to PROMOTE it. Given that we’re in the digital age and coming out of a global pandemic, the album won’t sell a lot of copies and the market will be oversaturated with bands on tour and sporting events.

This is where the charts begin to come into play. The charts show that Lindsey gets lost in the mix when he’s on his own. He’s never had a Top 20 album on his own and he’s never not had a Top 20 album whenever he’s worked with Mick. History has shown that the single easiest way to MARKET Lindsey Buckingham, the easiest way to PROMOTE the tour is to somehow involve Mick Fleetwood. And, Mick has made it clear he’d be on board.

I’m sure Stevie was pissed by Christine’s comments, too.

I, in turn, applaud Christine for being the same candid, and occasionally loose-lipped conversationalist she has always been.
May I divert for a moment? Aleuzzi is not an underrated poster, that would be disrespectful to say. The absolute perfect member to this longtime community forum. Always spot on, respectful, and never fills the thread with tiresome, trite responses that clog the conversation. For my mind, one of the absolute best we have here.
