"Got a Hold on Me" was the obvious choice, I guess, from her 1984 album. It was MOR or adult-contemporary stuff.

But another good choice for that same market would have been "Ask Anybody." I think adult-contemp listeners would have gotten hooked on that one in 1984. I think it might have been one of the most frequently aired singles on those older-listener stations throughout the 1980s had it been released to radio as a single.

I agree, but I think it should have been named something else. I never felt "Friend" was the best name for it.

I love the feel of this song. It has that haunting style she puts out on occasion.. Such a lovely tune..

I honestly don't know! But I often muse over what the reaction would've been if "Brown Eyes" was released as a single. I still have no idea whether it would've been #1, a chart failure, or somewhere in between!

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

I'm still mystified that "Isn't It Midnight" didn't chart well in the UK.

Is this the one, where Lindsey kicks on his distortion pedal, in the middle of the song, for about 4 seconds, then decides it's too much?
