Thanks for that!!! I for one am thrilled.

Thanks AJ that's very sweet of you but I think I'll just go down to Warners and get a replacement copy tomorrow. Thanks again

Quick update -
Warner/reprise called me today:

1. the CD was faulty - something to do with the watermark. Apparently several people have complained. A replacement copy is being biked over to me.

2. the interview - LB was due to do 2 interviews yesterday; one with me, one with The Times (the UK's most prestigious newspaper). Neither happened. The difficulty is at LB's end. Don't know what the problem is. But they're still trying for it at the UK end.

Thanks Betsy. I'm very happy to keep you updated. I just wish I had better news to report.

Much as I want the interview for all of us here, I do think the Times is too important a newspaper to not respond to. So I hope that there was a good reason for yesterday's non appearance. And that he does do all interview requests he gets so as to maximise the exposure for the album.

On a different note - someone asked earlier how rocking this album was:
In the notes i got with the faulty CD LB is quoted as saying:

'I'm bringing to bear many aspects of what I can do - guitar solos, just rocking a lot more in addition to other things. It does rock more!'

Anticipate any info you'll be able to bring back to us from interviewing Lindsey. That said, I also know how unpredictable these things can be!

I had put together a list in preparation for yesterday. Many of them from this forum and the ones from the Stevie forum plus a couple of my own. But I'll wait now for confirmation of a time and date and revise them in case I think of anything else.
Hopefully when I do put them up I'll also have the answers alongside.

I was reading a review from the Buffalo News which captured this:

This is from November 24, 1997:

Quote:
Buckingham's standard pose -- tense-faced, feet together -- makes it all the more impressive when he goes overboard. There was simply no topping, for instance, his cathartic outburst in "I'm So Afraid." Head thrown back, mouth wide open, Buckingham stood pouring out blues riffs and tense sets of triplets. Things built up gradually, in tension and volume. Then, as people screamed, he left his mike, did a loose goose-step in a circle a few times and skedaddled back, skipping on one foot, playing and howling all the way. Finally, with a tortured grimace, he flung off his guitar. The arena went crazy.

He brought immense concentration to his solo song "Go Insane," and Nicks brought similar passion to "Silver Springs" and "Rhiannon." Between Buckingham and Nicks -- well, they could have sent the rest of the band home, and I would have been happy.

yep...pretty sure everyone at show has seen...some make comment.

Now I just need Lindsey to express his experience.

The audience always reacts to that, but I don't really see it mentioned in reviews specifically. Of course that, coupled with some of the strumming gestures and that dance he does with his guitar as Tusk fades into Stand Back all combine to form the oft-voiced perception that segments of the performance are quite masturbatory.
