Are you talking about the Harold mentioned in Mick's first book? If so, he wrote I still have him. He sleeps in an old drum case in my basement.

However I read during the 2014 tour he was asked about Harold. It seems he didn't like the question very much because he became very serious and simply said "He doesn't exist anymore".

More than once I've read he didn't like questions about his crazy past.

I chatted w a guy who worked for curry's company a couple years ago-- curry had gone to chris's memorial that the band had, and mentioned to this guy how shattered john was there, how he needed the cane to walk that night. He felt compassion for him and what he'd been through, which was nice. He seemed to be a very well-liked and well-respected person.

Regarding John - I'm sort of going through this with one of my parents. They both were fortunate to retire at 55 and had all around really good health. My mom hit 70 and like clockwork started having mobility issues left and right. She eventually had a knee replacement, but wasn't in the best physical shape before the procedure, so the recovery was really rough. My dad is still doing really well, but he was always more active than my mom.

It's a warning for anyone in their 40s/50s/60s - stay active and try and be in the best shape you can be in. I'm not talking about losing weight, I'm talking about keeping up your muscle strength because it starts to go out the window rapidly when you hit the back half of your 60s.

JFC...I sound like Stevie preaching about trainers. What a circular moment. Isn't that weird!? LMAO...I'll see myself out.

Glad to see that Mick finally posted something. better late than never.

Also I got a bit more info-- Curry was 73, and was believed to have passed away from ALS, although it doesn't seem to have been formally diagnosed. He was at his daughter's wedding recently, but in a wheelchair. They had the funeral and celebration of life thursday, and stevie was the only mac member to be there, although there were lots of 'associates' from over the years. Heard there was a lovely slideshow of his pics and career, all full of his big smile. seemed like a well-loved guy.

A number of their circle posted on Mick's FB... Dennis, Glenn, and Hernan who mentioned that he'd seen Curry in LA "recently" and he'd seemed in good shape...

Yep. Many associates/people from the industry but she was the only band member there. (although there were some folks from other bands lol)

I'm reading the memorial service was held on May 8 at Camarillo, CA. It seems Mick was already in Maui so it could be complicated to assist. Lindsey lives in the LA area, doesn't he? It might have been easy for him to attend, but one shouldn't judge, it's unknown what he was doing that day, where he was, how close he was to Curry in recent years, etc. Same as John (and his health is another factor in his case).
