Needles make me cry. I don't like the idea of someone having control over me by sticking a sharp object into my person. Get a needle near me and I'll knock you out.

Me, too. Or being found wearing dirty underwear, that scares me. When I was a kid, my mother used to tell me to change my undies every day because if I ever got into some sort of accident and had to go to the hospital, they'd be disgusted if my underwear was dirty. Besides for sanitary reasons, that's a big part of why I change my underwear.

Bugs. Ladders (but not trees, so much), being murdered, giant, deep bodies of water that I can't see under, jumping off things into water (even diving boards into a pool)...Oh, and just recently, dying while my house is dirty. It's been pretty clean for awhile, now. And, uh, having certain things left out, and then dying.
Other things I'm scared of are just normal...

Wicked. That's pretty scary...I must admit that I would love to see that filmed in a movie.

I gave my beloved Scottie MiMi the Sheep injections daily and an bag or so of lactated ringers every other day or so for like three years. So needles do not bother me that much. An IV on me is initially horrifying, but I get over it quickly.

The thing that terrifies me mostly and thankfully not that often anymore is going to sleep. When I was a kid, I just would not sleep. I am mostly past it. But, after seeing that horrifying bunny in Donnie Darko, I may not sleep for fear of awakening and it or something more horrifying being in the room.

I am scared of:

The depth of my grief when my mother dies

Flying

Deep Water

Being buried alive

Moths and any bugs larger than ladybugs.

Being found dead in an embarrassing position. For example, falling off the toilet after having died of a heart attack

Natural Disasters

Terrorists

Rent increases

Not being able to eat any of my favorite foods anymore due to peri-menopause and a slow metabolism.

I get totally freaked out by deep water and the thought of a house fire.

Oh, and clowns.

I don't get totally freaked by clowns but I agree--they are kind of creepy!! And the fire thing--ditto!

Ever since Stephen King's It, babe. I don't care if it's our favorite Sweet Transvestite under all that clown make-up, he officially made me scared ****less of clowns.

I was a wreck for a week after seeing that movie. Absolutely traumatized.

Just the other day, I was flipping through the channels and stopped on A&E like I always do. The first thing that came on the screen was the picture of John Wayne Gacy dressed as a clown, and my heart started pounding. I couldn't turn it fast enough. :shudder:

I cannot deal with clowns, man.

well, I eat them anyway. I figure I'll never be 18 again and my man magnet days are long gone (Thank GAWD!) so I please myself now. I like things much better this way.
