I'm working on a Murrow Turning Over In His Grave tab right now(solo included). If anyone's interested I could post what I've done so far

Okie doke. This is all around 104 BPM.

Try and let as many of the notes ring out as you can. I bar the third fret for the first two beats of the first bar, so I can make that D on the second string ring out. Just use a regular C powerchord the rest of the time.

First four bars of the first verse, all just variations on the main riff.

The rest of the first verse, just some more variations. That lick in bar four, seven, and eight is a bit tricky. It's easier in a different position - but it makes the main riff harder so I just do it like that.

This is the chorus(I think). The rhythms aren't exact, just listen to the jangly high stuff (though I took them down an octave) that's going on and it should be easy enough to follow. Though it's harder, I like to play the second half like this too:

But Lindsey's not doing it so either way is good.

This part is a nightmare to transcribe cause there are two electric guitars doing slightly different things. Not to mention how distorted they are! So the electric lines are kinda rough, and the first three notes of every bar are just an acoustic lick which you can play instead if the electric parts are too hard.

Will finish soon

I love your G clef notation, Rick. What program do you use to make the transcription?

I use Guitar Pro. Not that good for notating anything but guitar but it's really easy to use and I can do stuff in ten seconds that would take me half an hour in Sibelius.

I wonder which program I can learn to use for keyboard transcriptions (my own). Is there something reliable but low end?

I haven't had a chance to play this yet (I've only looked at it at the lab) but would it maybe be easier to play the acoustic guitar parts if you used a capo at the third fret instead of having to bar it the whole time?

I'm looking forward to getting home and giving this a go because it looks good!

Not sure - I really do need one for my music class compositions in school. I'll have a look this week and get back to you if I find anything!

I guess you could... I find capos kind of awkward though so I just do it like that.
