What questions to ask Lindsey?
Thanks to Cour for the idea .
If you could ask Lindsey some questions, what would they be? Mine were: WHAT was he thinking about when he wrote Red Rover Was it REALLY Greek gods or whatever, was it death, WHAT?!?! LOL Who would he love to duet with more than anyone else on earth? Would he consider ever releasing GOS on his own independent label or something? How does he approach lyrics, does he sit down and just let it flow from him, or does he wait till inspiration hits? Do his children love music as much as he does, do they sing with him, does he sing TO them? What song does he wish he had written, and if it's a Beatles song, I swear to all that is holy...... LMAO

I think out of the cradle would have been a more commercial succes with john and mick on drums. I know this was impossible because of your own personal process. Did you consider using a rythmsection on any of your solo-albums? To me they are all masterpieces, but with a firm rythmsection a lot of those songs would have been more approachable for the public, and sound more timeless imho. What's your vision on this, especially because you did invite a rythmsection for your fourth soloalbum....

Mr. Buckingham, are you aware of the fact that only two of your fans can think of a question to ask you? One is flying from the states to europe to see you and the other one the other way round. Maybe it is an idea to come over to our houses for a short interview. There are only two you know.....

Add another intercontinental traveller to that party...! lol! It was good to meet you in Dallas, Gerald.
My questions: Musically related: What inspired you / how did you come up with the music for the acoustic versions of Big Love and Go Insane? How long did they take to compose? Non-musically related: How does it feel to be a happily married man and yet have the subject of the majority of your songs sing along side you on a nightly basis all over the world, knowing that she is not your wife? |
