They're ALL full of sh*t. Company shills. And they also lie to cover their own bad behavior.

Do you know how to tell if they're lying?

Their lips are moving.

I see it a bit differently. Lindsey has always professed respect for Green’s contributions to the band, though it’s clear LB was not in any real way influenced by him. Now that he’s older and Green has died and he faces his own old age, he’s thinking back on Fleetwood Mac and its entire legacy—and he’s seeing his own achievement as tied to the most renown portions of that legacy. So, while he’s paying some amount of bs lip service to Green, I do suspect he’s feeling a genuine need to connect the Mac he led with the Mac Green led.

What saddens me time and again is how Lindsey completely ignores Bob Welch’s legacy. Mick and the McVies have enabled this through selective memory. Lindsey only ever mentions Welch’s music (and even then rarely) in a negative context. “Future Games” and “Hypnotized” are as important to the band’s history as “Second Hand News,” “Tusk” or “Big Love,” maybe even GYOW, too.
