![]() Lots already mentioned…but for me the ultimate is Love Shines. It feels so happy, maybe in part abetted by the video. They seemed happy despite being in a very uncertain place at that time.

![]() Don't Stop, You Make Loving Fun, Say You Love Me... Chris takes the cake hands down. (Mixed metaphor?)
Lindsey songs that smell happy at first whiff usually end up tasting miserable or bitter when you properly chew on them, and Stevie's attempt to write a happy feel-good song in Angel ended up veering into her foggy cosmos of disjointed visions. I want to give her Say You Will, but the lead vocal delivery is so strident and joyless, despite the upbeat music and giddy lyrics. Although it's not Rumours lineup, I second the vote for Love Shines.

![]() I’m surprised no one mentioned I Don’t Want to Know- the music is joyous, to me, and the lyrics are pretty upbeat.
I Know I’m Not Wrong is also very joyous. It totally makes me happy when I listen to it. |

![]() Re reading this thread I checked the meaning of uplifting: inspiring happiness, optimism, or hope.
There may be several songs, but Don't Stop was the first that came to my mind.

![]() Until this thread, I’d never realized how somber or serious FM songs tend to be. Except for Don’t Stop and You Make Loving Fun, and my choices I Don’t Want to Know and I Know I’m Not Wrong, I don’t find any other songs that fit my definition of happy or joyous.
Even solo, the only song I can think of would be Holiday Road, outside of FM proper. |

![]() I think Christine wins the award for happiest songs.
Think About Me Say You Love Me Everywhere Don't Stop Lindsey is runner up, (Big Love, Monday Morning, and maybe more so solo than Mac) and I need a decoder ring for Stevie's songs. They are shrouded in mystery and innuendo. After a few drinks, I usually get the jist, but at first listen, I usually can't follow. While it's probably my favorite song of hers, I am still trying to figure out what a shining autumn ocean crashing is. |
