It’s incredible how 3 people can hijack a thread. Stevie Nicks consumes a lot of people’s lives, I guess. Bringing her into every topic is proof of that. It’s not even that I’m sticking up for her- it’s just, why? Why bring her into every single topic? Why can’t people just say what they want to see from the band without turning this thread into another Stevie thread? I’m sick of anything Stevie, but it’s impossible to talk about anything else when 3 people continually, and for no reason, inexplicably bring her into the conversation. Every time. Usually it takes a page or two before one of those folks bring her name up, but here it took one page. Ah well. I know I shouldn’t say anything because it won’t do any good and will only bring about the same response that’s always given- calling me a chiffonhead, etc. instead of any real genuine response.

Chiffonhead, be thine name. At least it's on the table, now.
Own it.

Your Doppelganger. He slept right through Oh Daddy and does not remember it from the Dance tour. Are you possibly writing under other names here? Hmmmm. Oh Daddy was a highlight from that tour since it had not been performed on stage since the 1970s.
Even Stevie said it is her favorite song from Chris to perform on stage.

You and the Oh Daddy. I'll bet you scream that regularly.

I agree. I think she'll be the last one, too. Because you know what they say, "only the good die young".

There are just a few FM songs I hate, but Oh Daddy, When I See You again, and Family Man top that list. I really don’t remember Oh Daddy being performed but I probably just don’t remember it, which must mean I must not have HATED the performance.

You and Homer must be twins

I have to agree with Stevie when she said as magic as Fleetwood Mac can get, it does not get more magical than performing Oh Daddy on stage.

Maybe you are Homer.
Maybe I am Stevie

It was a nice rendition, too. With Brett Tuggle aboard, it was the first and only time the song had ever been done in concert with both a piano and a B3. I think Brett played a very nice, very audible piano part and Chris did her B3. It sounded very full and lush. The backup singers sang the backup vocals Stevie used to sing. The Irvine Meadows show was broadcast on national radio, and Daddy was included. Even people who ordinarily don’t like the song might love this Irvine performance.

Here's Daddy from Pittsburgh, audience. They threw a lot of reverb on the lead vocal.

Look, it’s already been well established Stevie is a liar, so of course she was lying when she said Oh Daddy was a favorite of hers!

I think when FM performed Oh Daddy in my area for the Dance, they changed the words, which was why I didn’t remember it… I believe they called it Oh Mick. As you know, the song was written for and about him.

Homer and I listened to Oh Daddy last night and we could only get through 30 seconds before he turned it off. He kept saying it would have been a really good song if Stevie had sang lead on it instead of Christine, but I think it would have sucked no matter who sang it. Except maybe Mike Campbell.

Maybe if Bekka, Billy, and Neil sang them, they would sound good!
