that's exactly it - BuckVie did NOT have a brand name. so people had to actually know who they were, and that these are 2/3 of FM songwriters. most general public had no clue.

if BuckVie went on the road as Fleetwood Mac, with Mick and John, than we would have a frame of reference. instead, the only thing we know is that Stevie Nicks name is much better known than the names Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie.

She likes that kind of attention.

I would actually like to see a Fleetwood Mac show without Stevie. Mick, John, Chris and Lindsey and yes, have a special guest singer or several for Stevie's songs or parts. I would go to that.

Bekka Bramlett. The best singer FM ever had.

Nah, they can skip all of Stevie's songs. There is SO MUCH material between Chris and Lindsey that I would not want any interference from another singer.

I think the point would be, beyond adding some goat songs, would be lightening the load for the other two, who aren't exactly...... in their prime.

Oh Daddy, put your hand inside my glove.

Have you ever heard Bekka? I have, several times. And beyond the Time tour, but with her in a club(and with Vince Gill as well). She is a f*cking POWERHOUSE. She'll belt your damned pants off.

I’m just going to say it—

No matter who you think is right or wrong in this never-ending drama, the bottom line is Stevie Nicks is no longer interesting musically whereas Lindsey is. We can pick apart their individual personalities and argue about who is in the right or in the wrong but it doesn’t really matter.

What matters is their music, their commitment to growth and craft. Lindsey is still searching and developing. Stevie uses her old top hat as a money bucket to demand our cash wherever she sings. It’s a crass conclusion to a life in music.

Christine is in the middle. She claims to always be up for making new records and songs but will no longer do so without a guiding hand. That’s frustrating—to know that “bag full of of songs,” as Mick put it, will probably never be recorded. Meanwhile she won’t say no to big tour money, to tour after tour of the same stuff played the same way, and now played largely by back up musicians.

This is the best assessment of modern day Stevie that I've ever read.

She's the true embarrassment to their legacy, but will never be remembered as such. She spins around, and people fall for that... there's no accounting for taste.

Bekka who? Didn't she play the daughter of Roseanne?

No one disputes Bekka's singing ability. I am not sure the Mac was a good fit for her. While I appreciate Christine's songs on Time and Nights In Estoril is one of my favorites, the rest of the album is not great and has no Fleetwood Mac magic. It has nothing to do with Bekka's singing ability. We all are not Fleetwood Mac fans because of the singing ability of any of its singers. It apparently was something else that grabbed us.

The list was off top of my head. I love the album version of World Turning but I dislike it live ever since 1987 when it became a showcase for Mick's play suit or drum solo. I also don't like Stevie's vocals on the live track.

Who's Dreaming this dream is ok but my least favorite off her 1984 solo album and Christine probably agrees with me since it was the only track she did not do live during her solo tour promoting the album. I also was trying to keep it to only 2 solo songs. Their catalog is incredible but my list was more for the masses and not all my favorites otherwise the only one at the concert would be me Thus my point being there are plenty of hits to play for the casual Mac fan without $tevie's music.

You and David really have a beautiful, yet lucid way with words. I agree with this immensely.
