Thumbs up The story of Queen at Live Aid

I enjoyed this. I will never forget Live Aid and watching from home and taping several acts on the VCR. Queens performance just blew everyone away. This video talks about why Queen stole the day. I remember watching and really loving the band's performance and the audience playing in Freddie's hands. Rewind time, in 1985 Queen was considered a washed up band with flop albums and a flop solo album. Then Queen hit the stage at Live Aid. Freddie was not well and just did shots of vodka and hit the stage and we were all in awe.

100% agree

Few years ago I got the Live Aid dvd boxset, and though I enjoyed to watch again my 80s icons (Thompson Twins, Sting, Dire Straights, Paul Young, etc.), it was Queen when I got really moved.

Yes, I do remember me and friends were questioning about Queen's change of sound (1982). After all, Hot Space was not their best move. And then when I heard in 1984 the title Radio.. what? Ga Ga??? What have they been smoking? But then I heard the song and thought... Humm, interesting. They are enough smart to move to a more 80s sound than keeping stuck in their classic 70s sound and take the risk of being considered dinosaurs (though the I want to break free video was not the best idea at that time )

Nowadays I sometimes enjoy more listening Greatest Hits II (80s material) than Greatest Hits I (most 70s material). Of course their whole legacy is great!
