She'll just say that he was a bum who didn't work in his 20s, even though the arrangement was made between them or let's sue her favorite term "pact" that she'd work low-skilled jobs so he could work on the music. And this was 50 years ago, talk about holding on to things!
and not to mention he did in fact work...he had session gigs etc (recall she was in Aspen writing Landslide because he'd gotten a job on the road with the Everly Brothers) and he tried his hand (albeit unsuccessfully) at other jobs, famously he talked about working in a call center selling ads. It doesn't make as good a story. (for some reason this reminds me of her Hamburger Helper story.. which seem to fall off the radar after the early 80s)

I don't think Stevie ever wanted to take guitar lessons either.

Anything new with this Dave Stewart quote? We know Stevie's added concerts in May and June. Gold Dust Tour 2005, Gold Dust Tour 2022, Gold Dust Tour 2023, and now Gold Dust Tour 2024? The casino crowd catered shows have been back for 2 straight years.

That’s why her more frequent statements about political matters since the 2000s have seemed inappropriate and empty and rather addle-headed. Those statements (and songs) feel superficial and desultory coming from her because of her lifelong grudge toward an old boyfriend. That’s what really animates her, and we all know it. She doesn’t care about bigger matters. She cares whether her old boyfriend is smirking.

Speaking of politics, where is Michele? I vote that she post again.

Omg…poor woman.
Having everything in life…good looks, talent, friends, money, popularity, doing something that (according to her) she really enjoys, ….
and then being obsessed by one man.

That also puts Lindsey in a strange position because he must know.
No wonder he smirks……..

$he's become ridiculous. A joke. $he's so f*cking petty that $he ruined the ending of the band that made her a $tar. F*cking INGRATE.

We're simply witnessing somebody truly become cannibalized by their own character/image/persona. One could argue the same thing was happening to Elvis before he unexpectedly passed away. Somebody had her ear in the early 2000's and told her she should just do the oldies circuit and she was happy to go along. The same thing is happening again with Azoff. It's going to be pure legacy rehashing going forward.

There's definitely an issue with narcism, how could there not be at this point. Her whole interaction and apparent passion about Barbie Stevie was...fascinating to say the least.

I too agree that I Don't Want To Know adds levity to the album and I prefer the album without Silver Springs. The Rumours recording of Silver Springs is beautiful, but I think the Dance version is more powerful.

I think the Rumours version is stunningly gorgeous.

The Stevie Barbie posts and mentions at every show to me are manic.

Silver Springs is what she considers to be one of her top songs yet 2018 was the only tour since The Dance that she didn't perform it. Also Sara never made it to 2018 either.

Because it wouldn't work. Even she knows that staring at Mike or Neil while singing those verses wouldn't be right.

She tried a moment like that during Storms (could save us) but Neil didn’t play into any of that during the tour. No hand holding or nose rubbing. The new Fleetwood Mac if you will.

Kind of like New Coke. Tastes like sh*t.

Or new cocaine. It'll kill you.

The new FM. Kiss my @$$, Stevie Nicks. You ruined it.

I'm no big fan of how she's behaved in recent years but I shall reserve judgment until the project is unveiled.

I wish Mick would just say definitively that the group does not exist anymore. Then we can edit Wikipedia and get rid of all this crap about the surviving members of the 2018-19 lineup comprising a current configuration.

Thanks to Mick and all erstwhile members for the good times.

She starts playing live again next month. Maybe it'll be unveiled around that time.

If Stevie plans on releasing any new music 2024 should be it. In May she will be 76 years of age and I think her performing days will be coming to an end (or should be). It may be time to focus on her art and a book.
