Question Time Bomb Town..

Do you love this song or hate this song?

I have to admit, I did not like this song as a kid! LOL I BEGGED my dad to buy me the Back to the Future soundtrack record at Sound Warehouse (ahhh...memories....lol) because I LOVE the music in the movie, that's a great version of Earth Angel and Huey Lewis rocks!! I heard this song, Time Bomb Town from Lindsey Buckingham (huh, who, wha?? LOL) and I thought, this song sucks, his jerky vocal singing did not appeal to me at 9 years old! LOL I WAS A STOOOPID KID! But, now, I LOVE this song! I downloaded an alternate version of it on AG, and I think I like it better than the original, tho! His vocals, I find adorable, now. I need the BTTF soundtrack on CD, great music on that!

Default Me too!

I am totally with you, Christy! I LOVE the movie, and I love Huey Lewis' "The Power of Love" - Michael J. Fox skateboardin' down the street to it. :-) But Lindsey's song...I was like "Why is he singing like that?" This is after I'd heard "Holiday Road" (that was all I knew LB from, I didn't know he was in FM. I didn't really know anything about FM then) and thought it was totally awesome (remains my fave solo LB song to this day). So I was majorly disappointed that "Time Bomb Town" was so different.

FF to 2000. At this point, my adoration of Lindsey that had been building since 1997 had reached the obsessive must-have-everything-he-ever-did stage. So I pull out "Time Bomb Town" and it started to grow on me. Now I find it strangely appealing.

All this to say I like "Time Bomb Town" now. :-)

I remember watching the movie just to catch a "glimpse" of the song... really went nuts when I noted it
it's a nice song allright, but I don't listen to it much.

I like this song too... it took a while to grow on me at first, but it's cool. I agree that it fits in with the movie.

This is a great song, I initially bought the soundtrack to the movie for the Eric Clapton song, which is very good as well, but this song appealed to me cause it sounded much different from anything i had been listening to in the 80's. I still like the song although don't listen to it all that much, I'll have to hear the alternate version...
