Thanks Sister. Now I probably have to wait until Halloween is over since I 'll be looking for a black cat.
Unfortunately yes, shelters usually suspend the adoptions of black cats during the Halloween period in order to avoid adoptions by ill-intentioned people.
I know, I had to keep Perla at home as well during this period for the 15 years she's been alive, sometimes it was a real challenge; occasionally she managed to sneak out through the window insect screen. Fortunately our neighborhood isn't particularly dangerous but all the commotion is a problem for pets too.

Sisternightroad you new cat is incredible - stunning face, coat and eyes!

Macfanforever I'm sorry to hear about Buttons and I really hope you find a new kitten soon.

I don't know if anyone can help....I've been trying to post a photo of my cat - the photo of Stevie with cat in the VIP thread today reminded me. How do I attach a photo with a file size over 100kb? !?! My computer knowledge is very basic

Thank you, he is awesome.

However you can't attach a big size picture, what you have to do is upload your photo on a hosting site like this one: https://postimage.org/
and then use the "Insert Image" feature, which is the second icon from the right of the quick reply bar.

Wow what a stunning cat (and he knows it ) - beautiful coat!

This photo reminds me of the phrase - Cats have servants, dogs have owners....

Yes, he's ridiculous. He's gorgeous and knows it. Even loves posing for pictures. He's got such attitude

Awesome picture.

This is Zoe over the past few years. She's my husband's cat. Both of mine have moved on.

The day we got a puppy.

And in the garden, with an Instagram filter on it.

Great, thanks. I'm sure I asked the same question on here once before. I had a vague idea that I had to upload the photo somewhere else.

It's a bit late for me to figure it out tonight, but as soon as I can I'll post a photo of Sammi. It's very difficult getting good photos of him. He doesn't like the camera and doesn't like posing - he'll often just run off. But I've got a couple so I'll try to upload them. He's completely black which also it makes it harder to get good photos, although he's very striking with his green eyes and gets many compliments.

^^^ Zoe is gorgeous, lovely grey coat. I really like the 2nd photo even if she wasn't in the best of moods that day.

I'm not having much luck with uploading photos. Postimage doesn't want to accept the password it gave me in order for me to set up an account Still I did manage to load some photos on there but now I'm having trouble uploading them on here

I can't get the insert image icon to work. So here is a link to a photo which should work. Its not the best photo but for some reason when I try the other links to the other photos they don't now work

Computers....

https://postimg.org/image/k3fh600tv/

maybe I'll try again later if I get a chance

Thanks sisternightroad, he's actually a he I didn't realise Sammi was a female version of the name Sammy, I just preferred the spelling. It took me ages to find a name that suited him - he was Puss for a month or so. He's very gentle and not very big and quite feminine really.

He was a rescue and kept getting left as people prefer other colours of cats. I was actually looking for a different colour for a change as I'd lived with black cats before (not mine, a friends). But I just couldn't leave him. He was in a pen with a large ginger tom who was bullying him, and as soon as he was handed to me, he ran up me and clung to my neck. He wasn't in a great condition but he recovered really well and he's been a great pet - very affectionate and laid back.

Thanks for your advice with posting photos, I'll try again tomorrow, I don't think my tired head could deal with it right now.
