Wow - so many names I haven't seen in 20+ years! I jumped back on to see if there was any actual info for what might have happened. I feel like this came out of nowhere. It seems like nobody knew she was even ill from what I can find online. I guess my humanity is looking for the 'why'.....(sigh). Still can't believe she's gone. Glad I got to see "my" FM one last time back in 2014. Thanks to Mary and Lis for the board, and for all of you for carrying the FM torch all these years! xoxo

If there's one thing that I can appreciate that's happening is a lot of YouTubers reacting to Christine and Fleetwood Mac songs since her passing. I think that's the type of legacy that these 5 want to leave behind when they're all gone and the drama is over, the music is still there, the music is relatable to what people could be going through in their lives, and its use as an instrument to heal will carry on for many generations to come.

It feels good to be back here. I guess after the divorce Marty and I both sort of left this site behind. But i certainly never left fleetwood mac behind. so glad to be able to come back here , it helps w the sadness.

You really want to be here, because this feels like losing Elvis or John Lennon to us, while others in the everyday world might not feel it with the same magnitude.

I’ll never forget the roar when she started YMLF in 2014. It was amazing and will forever be my fondest memory of our dear Chris. She looked so happy that night!

I am actually kind of gratified to see how much Christine meant to so many people and some that I would not really have expected. I believe it is because her music is part of people's collective unconscious . Once you write and sing a really classic pop song it never seems to really go away and Christine did just that on quite a few.

It crazy how every football game I’ve seen this weekend has played part of a Christine song going into a break. She would have been blown away.

Yes, they played a bit of ‘Got a Hold on Me’ going to commercial on Sunday Night Football.

No words. I still can't believe she's gone.

Though it is nice to see those of you who haven't been around in awhile popping up to say hello.

It's difficult to wake up and process it.

I keep hearing her songs without even trying. I work the front desk overnight at a hotel, and we play music in the lobby. In between the copious Christmas songs and other stuff, I've heard 'Say You Love Me', 'Hold Me', 'Everywhere', 'Little Lies' and 'Feel About You' a number of times, plus I heard 'As Long As You Follow' one night about a week ago, and was astounded that they played it (I think it's satellite radio that we play). So her voice is always in the air, one way or another. I think on the still-hard to accept fact that she's really gone and I think on the impact she's had on the world, whether people are aware of it or not. She is gone, yet she will never grow old, in a way.

Default Any News?

Has it been released how Christine died? Was there a funeral/memorial for her?

I think she was cremated at a private ceremony only for family.

I’m not sure about her illness. She was so private I am sure she wouldn’t have wanted anyone to know, though death certificates in England are generally publicly available if you pay for them online via the General Register Office. In the last interview I heard her give she said she was in pretty bad health.

Eh, it doesn’t really matter. Nothing changes the fact she’s gone.
