The collaboration is Stevie's 80's song "What has Rock'n Roll Ever Done for You?"

Now that is awesome. Maybe that Rock A Little re-release is actually coming.
Even though this was a demo, this is like getting a new Stevie song!

It's never been a favorite demo of mine...but I still think Stevie and Dolly could do something fun with it.

I do not like the song at all but let's see what they do with it. Sigh...

Dolly said she and Stevie worked on Bittersweet?

I swear I was just thinking last week that it really ought to be "What Has Rock and Rock Ever Done For You", but because I never came here to post that, no one can believe me now. Now I can't even get credit for being correct and intuitive!

Part of it was thinking that it would be more special within Dolly's oeuvre if it weren't a country song.

As for the song itself, the lyrics are of course simple and dumb, but the music is really catchy. A song like that could be a lot of fun as a silly duet. I approve our decision.

Here is the relevant part of the article:

What have been the most enjoyable moments of recording the album?

I had fun singing with Stevie (Nicks). It’s a song she wrote called “What Has Rock ‘n Roll Ever Done for Me,” a cute little song.

Ugh! I was interested in Dolly's rock album but not so much now. Christine's long ago remark was correct that Stevie is (was) a prolific songwriter but a lot of them are rubbish. This song belongs on that heap.

Hold on.... remember how great Mabel Normand turned out on 24 K? Who could've imagined it as the highlight of the album? I'm going to trust Dolly that if she says it was fun, we're in for a treat.

Mabel Normand is an incoherent word salad with a fairly decent arrangement wherein the production adds in a series of lifts to an otherwise flat dirge. Don't get me wrong, I actually don't mind it as far as it goes, but.... a classic it ain't, and definitely not one she should hang her hat on as a writer.

Look at it this way, it can only get better. We're getting the 2023 version with the help of a superstar(Dolly) and a new producer. It'll probably be really good. It's not gonna be like 1982's Smile At You(the angry version) which was perfect and then ruined by the 2001 SYW version.

I'm not so sure...Dolly's slick production team + Stevie's 80's Reject = cheeze
