Default Legend

It’s that time of the year, midsummer just gone, so it must be Glastonbury.
On Sunday afternoon there is the Legend slot.
In previous years….Dolly Parton, Shania Twaine, Tony Bennet, Shirley Bassey etc etc.

This year it’s Rod Stewart….I’m not a big fan of his…but he will certainly entertain the Sunday Teatime crowd….

Now I think Stevie is just right for this slot…
Solo hits, or Fleetwood Mac songs, ones people can join in.

Can throw in a story or two…nothing much though.
Could even bring a guest on to help with a tune
Mmmmm who could that be ??
Nah never he has too much pride surely.

Wishful thinking….

Rod did a good performance in the last AWA. I do love him!

Here is the complete schedule.

Stevie would definitely not take the pay cut that Glasto requires I don't think

No I absolutely agree..
Rod Stewart says he is getting paid £120,000.
And it’s costing him £300,000 to bring his crew, dancers, backing singers etc

But the kudos of playing Glastonbury are immense.
Mr Stewart isn’t stupid he knows there will be a lucrative pay off in the long run.
New music on the horizon.

And it would be the same for Stevie.

I have been watching Rod…on The Pyramid stage….when he says…
Here is a song I learnt from the lovely Christine Mcvie..she taught me this song in 1969….
With that a huge picture of Christine appeared as a backdrop.
And he sang
I’d rather go blind….quite well actually

Now there's a legend I'm proud to see get her moment at Glastonbbury.

Once he got going a bit, Rod was okay. Initially I watched through my fingers. It was a shaky, dodgy start. But he warmed up a bit.
Would love to see Stevie grace the stage. She’d have 2 or 3 very high profile guests, I’m sure. Reckon she’d be great.
….but yeah, shame she’d never do it
