If it was a Rumours album tv concert and tour with Rick and Billy. would they have played Silver Springs?

I think the whole idea of playing SS was to ignite the B/N drama. And boy does that sell!

You are saying Chris knew about the Dance and had committed as early as 1995? I say no way. Logic points she would not have done that. She was the hard one to move since she did not want to tour. But after a few years away she finally agreed to a tour of the states only and even that she was not thrilled about. She already came close or intended to abort her recording plans with the band. Stevie also aborted her recording promise. Lets pretend The Dance never happened. Time was such a flop do you think Warner would have let the band record another album? I think not. I think everyone knew the band was toast at that time. Even Mick publicly states his regret for trying to keep going. The band was done and that needed to happen before anyone would have taken a reunion seriously. If your theory is right, they would have regrouped after the inaugural and announced a reunion tour. Now here is something that I don't find a coincidence. The ultimate trivial question. Guess what song was included in the Japanese release of Time? The extended mix of Little Lies. Clearly they were using the drama of Time to make Little Lies a hit in Japan.

It worked. And she sang it with passion! And the band sounded great.
And... I never really cared for that song. Also, I never thought it should've been on Rumours. It was a B side for a reason.

Yes, the project took a radical change from what she was signed on for, and she eventually dropped out of the project, but she was always intended to be on the album. That said, Bekka Bramlett joining seemed pretty inevitable to me going back to 1992, and Mick seemed pretty high on Dave Mason when I met him at a Zoo show, so I wasn’t especially surprised that’s the turn the band took, especially after Billy dropped out. I’m saying the label began working on killing off the Time lineup after Hell Freezes Over. They stuck Lindsey with Rob C., Rob C. started pushing Lindsey to do a Fleetwood Mac reunion. IIRC, Lindsey was working in the same studio as Fleetwood Mac, hence his appearance on “Nothing Without You.” Purely coincidental, I’m sure. And, then Mick was added to Lindsey’s project, knowing “who should we get on bass” would eventually come up. The label was totally manipulating the situation. They knew getting Lindsey together with Mick was the only way he’d dissolve Fleetwood Mac. That’s when the industry types started coming around and when Billy saw the writing on the wall. The problem is the label invested so much into Time that they had to release it, and the only remote possibility of recouping anything was adding Christine’s songs. So, the band got her studio demos and added them to the album. Quote:
Even if it only got to ‘Lindsey Buckingham featuring Mick Fleetwood’, that was going to be an easier sell than a new lineup of Fleetwood Mac.

It’s been a long time since I watched that 1993 interview and wooo is it awkward at times. Lindsey couldn’t want to be somewhere any less. The comments about Mick’s book lol. I actually laughed several times.

He's right. The songs are old, some nearly 40 years old at the time of recording, but the performances are comparatively recent, Stevie's album swansong at the moment.

IDWTK is far superior, and fit the album perfectly. Only idiots pretend that SS was on Rumours.

IDWTK SHOULD have been a staple in the Time band setlist.
