I've been a moderator since the new Ledge opened in 2000.

I can't say I necessarily wanted to be a mod, but I did try to help keep the peace on the original Ledge, just out of gratitude towards Marty & Lis. So when Marty was getting ready to open up the revamped boards and asked me if I'd be a mod, I gave it some thought and then accepted.

As for the last question... well, I can also be a spiteful bastard if I want to be. But I try to do the right thing, and I try to be respectful towards everyone (though it can be tough to be respectful towards people who don't offer respect in return), so hopefully that counts for something.
And thank you so much for the compliment... your check's in the mail!

"Still" implies that I ever was, and I wasn't. I have been taking alpha lipoic acid, however. My opinion? I dunno, I'm pretty foxy, so maybe it's doing something.

You may ask..."What about Lindsey's album?" but you know what psychics say...it doesn't work that way.

That's funny. At work I had been telling a few people who I thought was going to get a job as a manager a few months ago. Turns out I was right. I somehow am blocked from getting any info on Lindsey's solo album or tour, however.

Ulysses! Which, if anyone is interested in attempting to read, I will be more than glad to help out. (Danny, did you ever pick it up again?)

Normally I wouldn't do this because I would say you've got to earn it by reading the whole thing, but here's the last bit of the last chapter. Far and away the most beautiful thing ever written in the English language:

Jyqm, seriously, thank you so much for posting this!
It was beautiful.

Now, my favorite greek food (lol!) It's a traditional thing from Creta (the island), like a salad sort of, and we call it "Dakos". It's rusk with olive oil, tomatoes and white (goat or whatever) cheese. It's very easy to make, you can make it at home.

Now another one:
Cliffdweller, which is your favorite city in the world?

I'm pretty worried about the direction the show's going, especially with the news that the Palladinos will NOT be back next year running the show. I can't believe next week is already the finale- it seems like nothing's happened! The show is going to be a DREAM though for all indie rock geeks like me, with appearances from Grant Lee Phillips, Sam Phillips, Thurston Moore & Kim Gordon and their daughter, Joe Pernice, Sparks, and Mary Lynn Rajskub or however you spell her name (Chloe on 24). I guess troubadours are overrunning the town!!
Wow that is some list! Kim Gordon and Thuston Moore were on the show too? I remember being extremely impressed when Rory mentioned Slint in Season Two.
I'm about three seasons behind you guys, so I have all this to look forward to.

Copenhagen, Denmark by far! It's so clean and the people are really nice and friendly and you can get anywhere by bike and there is water everywhere within a ten mile radius . Seriously, those Scandos know how to live!

My question for you: What are some of your favorite bands? We seem to share a bit of the same musical taste.

Oh wow, you like Slint too? I don't know ANYONE who likes them (besides my husband). Don't you just love Spiderland? Good Morning, Captain is one of my favorite songs of all time.

So my question for you is: Do you know whatever happened to them?

They will be on the next episode, which is the finale of the sixth season. I guess Kim & Thurston are going to be on, singing a song with their daughter Coco. How precious is that?

The music on the show is incredible- Sparks, XTC, Claudine Longet, Super Furry Animals. They always play stuff before it becomes too huge. They were playing a lot of Libertines and Franz before they hit in the states. I really love the music on the show.
