I haven't read this whole thread, but I had to come say how much I loved this (Linkin Park and Paul McCartney). LOVED IT!

since I HATE rap, but it may have something to do with Jay-Z's legendary lost"Grey Album" (A combination mix-match of his "Black Album" & the Beatles "White Album"...As I said HATE rap, but that album was interesting to say the least, til he got in legal trouble over copyright issues with Apple Records & EMI over the Beatles material used.).

I will give the guy credit for the Lennon shirt...But as for Linkin Park, They have/will/still/and always suck!

"Devils and Dust" is a powerful song. It is very Dylan-esque, IMO. I love it, and you are right about it being different than his usual stuff.

I love the fact he said "Bring Um Home" at the end. Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he tossed in/ad libbed "Bring 'em Home" at the end of the performance...Fitting ad lib for a song about a soldier going into battle in the desert dontcha think?

Yes, that was what I was saying. I was glad that he threw that in there. It was a nice closing, but you know how they rake people over the coals for voicing their opinions about this war. I was glad to see him stand up, and I haven't heard that tonight other than him.

On the "like how part," are you talking about my Dylan-esque comment?

Sometimes you can't make it on your own. Yes. Love, love, love this song

First Bruce, now Bono, me happy

Although it would have been nice for Bruce to win. A tie, even better.
