Well, I will always think that was solely because he is black because his performance was not that great either. Such is politics.

Julia Roberts trying to emote is akin to watching another person sleep.

I mean, if those awards are for acting, they should go to the people who give the best performances. If they were for acting, Bill Murray would have an Oscar, as would Burstyn for Requiem, Sally Kirkland, Don Cheadle, Julianne Moore, Patricia Clarkson, etc. I mean, C'MON.

What are you talking about?

"King Kong ain't got **** on me!!""

If that's not worthy of an Oscar, I don't know what is.

Of course it was because he was black, which I found to be repugnant. His performance was nothing memorable and I don't see the big deal over him. Even Halle Berry, who was utterly amazing, didn't wholly deserve that Oscar, but she got it because she was black. Miss Goldberg should've won that Best Actress Oscar back in '85, but they waited for Halle Berry? Bitch plz.

We are too good for lawn, but I just want to have some tickets, just in case. Last time I won lawn, I sold them for cost. Just in case, grasshoppa, just in case.

Wow, that sucks for the movie because those two are so spooky they would certainly have enhanced it. I love JJL even though she frightens me sometimes.

I looooooooooooove Jennifer Jason Leigh, too. She's another one that I'm surprised she hasn't gotten an Oscar. Such a phenomenal actress.

She frightened single girls everywhere as the SWF. Her film The Anniversary Party was creepariffic. And I loved her in Dolores Claiborne. The movie also has one of my fav movie lines "Sometimes being a bitch is all a woman has to hold onto."

Good movies.

Did you ever see her in Washington Square? I thought she was really fab in that one. My favorites are Dorothy Parker and the Vicious Circle and The Hudsucker Proxy, she was just DIVINE in those.

I really liked the book. I initially liked the movie, however, looking back on it after a year or two it was "The Song of the South" of the 80's. Oprah Winfrey was shameless in her Aunt Jemima impersonation.

He can't play a character. It's always Tom Cruise as a race car driver, Tom Cruise as a vampire, Tom Cruise as a psycho, Tom Cruise as a Vietnam vet. He blows.
