I agree. Julianne Moore is sheer perfection. One of the finest actresses in history. Almost no one can match her. I adore Cate Blanchett, but I think even she would have been lost in something such as Far From Heaven.

I'll agree with you on the Julianne Moore. Not only is she gorgeous but her performances are always stellar (with the exception of Nine Months but i'll let her go for that one

I wonder is Julianne would have been lost in Elizabeth. I do not know. I just do not see her in that role - though I am SURE she could have done it some justice!

OMG - I LOVE KATE W. and that color is VERY hard to wear (I can wear it though - but I have almost black hair)

I think Moore can do no wrong, so I'm sure she would have been fab in Elizabeth.

No, I can't imagine anyone but Blanchett in that role. She was divine. Kicked Paltrow's scrawny ass down the street and back.

I'm not watching this in real time, I think I'm about 45 minutes back- WTF is with Pierce Brosnan's voice? He's scaring me.

I was so glad to see Morgan Freeman win. I loved Million Dollar Baby, and he was the highlight. Can you believe that was the man's first Oscar??

She is interesting because she does not have classic beauty in the sense that she has no terrific figure or beautiful face - yet her imperfections come together to make a great package. I really like her and LOVED her in Kinsey!!!!

Has anyone noticed the theme seems to be very tight, corset-like bodices? They are figure flattering for sure.
