Aaaah, thank you!

The only way now we could make it worth our while really is to incorporate it into a holiday - at least we'd get something else out of it as well as a concert.

That would mean a week or two in California - it brings the cost down enormously. Otherwise it's just too expensive to try and come for a shorter period.

I love and adore Lindsey, but there's a limit!!!!!

Silver Springs, go ahead buy the ticket and do not tell them. Go to the concert and tell them you are going to the movies. I assume you still live at home and you are an adult, correct. You should be able to go to a concert and not have to check in. I could see if you were going somewhere for the weekend and they would like you to call everyday just to know where you are. That is something I would do any way. You have a right to go to the show even if you live at home. Eventhough you still live in there house you should not have to ask permission as an adult to do what you want. So go, leave the house dressed normally and lie to them. They will get over it.

I think her problem is that she would have to travel overseas for the concert, right? I'm 20 and still live with my parents and I'm sure they would tell me no too. If I could afford it I would just do it anyway. They would be furious, but I dont think they would kick me out or anything.

I recall about 13 years ago, the summer before I would be 18 I took a secret trip to NYC with my then boyfriend. I lied to my parents and said a bunch of us were going to Cedar Point for a few days. Yeah, they found out...I had never seen my dad more pissed in my life. I still get flashbacks.

Oh wow My dad would also be the one who freaked out if I did something like that. My mom would be worried, but would just be glad I was safe. I hope the trip was fun though! And oh my gosh I hate Cedar Point! Everyone thinks I am crazy because I never want to go but I don't like roller coasters at all!

I remember I came to California to do a game show and I knew my father wouldn't approve. I spent the summer here and got accepted to be on the show, but taping was not until after I left, so I returned for the show and I didn't tell my dad where I was going. I was 20, but I was out of college and had already started graduate school, so I had been living away from home for 3 years by then. He called my dorm room and didn't get me and then he started calling the front desk. When I got home he was mad. He never cursed, but he said to me, "Michele where the hell have you been." That was the first time I ever heard him curse.

Plus, the people at the front desk at my quad were mad too, because he kept calling them. They said they weren't receptionists and they weren't babysitters and it was not their responsibility to take messages or to track down adult students.

Ha. That's not the only time I went away without him knowing. It's just the time I got caught.

Michele

That's how it always happens, eh?

Caroline79: I despise Cedar Point, and always have- which is exactly how my parents found out. It was a very poor story and I had told none of my closest friends so no one was prepared. It was just very ill-planned on my part, but the trip was SO much fun!!!

Are you thinking of really doing that? That would definitely be much better than trying to fly in and out for just one show! Right now I am dreaming about starting fall semester late and following Linds to as many concerts as I can afford...it's fun to dream...
