You can buy JUST the DVD or the DVD/CD combo (what I got today!!). The DVD has the bonus footage on it. The package is like the Say You Will bonus CD in that it folds out and has the DVD and CD in it. There is a small booklet with some pictures/credits in it. It's really nice. I haven't watched it yet, but will probably do so tomorrow since I'll have the TV all to myself. LOL

ETA: My screaming "YES!!" was left on the CD!!!!!

YESSS!!!!!!! LOL

isnt that you in the front row with the green shirt on? =D

Anyway...i must say I am semi-disappointed in the DVD. It didnt really entertain me to be honest. They left off "Turn It On"...booooo! And "So Afraid" was the only thing was really interesting.

No, that's Lindsey (#1LiddyBuckFan). I'm the gal in the glasses and holding up the neon green Lindsey Rules sign after ISA is over.

ETA: I can totally understand being disappointed in the DVD, Brandon. You don't have the adrenaline rush when watching it, like you do when you're actually THERE. Also, leaving out Turn It On was a cardinal sin, if you ask me!

That's me second from the left...my mom is the one bathed in yellow light.

I thought about this when both Tom Petty (also with Tony) and Lindsey were touring at the same time and now after watching the DVD I'm thinking about it again: I hope Tony loves and admires Lindsey and just wants to remain his manager because of their many years together. I'd like to think that he'll always be there, working hard to shop Lindsey around, no matter what and that he won't ever bail if there comes a point in time when Lindsey can no longer make money through FM. I hope Lindsey's has strong musical connections that aren't based on his marketability.

Listening to the cd, (I'll watch the DVD later tonight) I couldnt help but be taken back and I felt like I was back in the middle of the tour al over again. I will say this again, that tour is the single best musiical traveling experience I've ever had including Fleetwood Mac.

Hi

Does anyone fancy posting me the DVD/CD.
I cant get it anywhere here, unless I pay almost the equivalent of $50 for it.
If anyone uses paypal I can instantly pay them using that.
Thanks in advance

And I was bummed because I wanted the videos on DVD and they weren't listed on the back of the Bass Hall thing, so I thought they were not there and was thinking of ranting about it. But they were masterfully woven into the documentary. It worked out thrillingly.

Does this product have any of the footage of the 1978 Mac tour?
If so, I will rent it via Netflix.

Yes, it does David. It has ALL of the footage from the 1978 Mac tour, but Netflix had some software problems this week and it delayed movie delivery. So, I think you should just buy the DVD.

You guessed the semi-negative review(s) would be out there!

Lindsey Buckingham's semi-solo DVD has ups and downs but seems tired

Ron Harris, THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published Wednesday March 26th, 2008

"Live at the Bass Performance Hall"

Lindsey Buckingham (Reprise)

From the first song featuring a marathon of arpeggios, singer/songwriter Lindsey Buckingham assures viewers of his first live performance DVD, "Live at Bass Performance Hall," that he's still got the goods with a guitar in his hands.

But that's not saying much. Buckingham could thrill you with fancy fret work in his sleep. He's that good. It's the rest of the package - stage presence, voice and delivery - that Buckingham must deliver with confidence to really win us over.

And he fails, not miserably but poignantly, as many fading superstars from other eras do.

The man who breathed excellence into Fleetwood Mac so many hits ago begins well, opening with a haunting and heartfelt solo version of "Not Too Late." The camera loves him appropriately, giving us close-ups of his flying fingers and well-composed angles of him singing under the spotlight.

He follows that up too with a sizzling take on "Trouble," a rendition wiped clean of the FM radio sheen that dominated much of his early work with and without the Fleetwood Mac collective. The song sounds more relevant without other instruments in his way.

But his musical artistry gives way to fatigue halfway through the set. He gives up on some vocal high notes that he doesn't have the energy to reach on important songs, like "Go Your Own Way," a moment that should have been a high point but instead the left the audience at Bass Performance Hall fairly listless.

Buckingham has earned his fatigue but it's still sad to see on display.

If it's any consolation, he still looks good at the front of the stage clad in jeans and a simple leather jacket. He goes through many equipment changes throughout the performance, and wields some gorgeous instruments from Santa Cruz, Calif.-based Renaissance Guitars, as opposed to the traditional acoustics. Guitar aficionados will eat this up with glee, even when Buckingham's voice wilts.
