Mick Fleetwood opens up about losing Christine McVie

“I’m doing okay. Coming to Vegas…has been a really healthy distraction from a tragedy for us in Fleetwood Mac,” the legendary drummer said.

https://themusicuniverse.com/exclusi...ristine-mcvie/

I also saw this tabloid article, but Mick looks kind of frail. This could be because he’d just flown in from Hawaii and was exhausted, but I feel really bad for him.

thanks for those. He does look a bit tired... but he's still well dressed which I guess is a good sign. Grief comes in waves sometimes...like when you have a quick thought to call someone up and then you realize they're not there to call anymore. I think about Mick and John a lot and wonder how they're coping inside.

Suitably, the concluded with her. She’ll always have the last word as far as I’m concerned.

I loved they ended with her words of Don't Stop, too! I have to take her advice!

is Stevie still on tour? Is she doing any sort of tribute to Chris in her shows, the way she did when her dad died and the way she did/does for Tom Petty??

She’s not on tour. I don’t think she’s doing anything until the Billy Joel tour.

I could see her doing “Don’t Stop” since she’s already done it with her solo band.

I think Stevie’s most recent tour ended in November. She has that little tour coming up with Billy Joel though. I hope Stevie does a dedication to Christine. I kinda hope Stevie sings Songbird and gives a nice speech about Christine before she sings it. If not Songbird, then Don’t Stop, but if Stevie doesn’t give a speech about Christine, I’ll be disappointed. The very least Stevie could do is dedicate Landslide to Christine because Stevie will often times give a little dedication speech before she sings Landslide. The first show on the little Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel tour is in Los Angeles, it would be very fitting for Stevie to do a tribute to Christine because Fleetwood Mac was a staple Los Angeles band in the 1970s and 1980s.

Billy Joel is currently on vocal rest but is due to return on the 13th. He has some sort of virus.

Also, he somehow didn’t get the memo Mick and Lindsey had reconciled.

I get the sentiment that Fleetwood Mac should be over because Christine is gone, but some of the takes were unnecessary.

The most compelling one he got right, however: Lindsey's health is not dependable enough for him to commit to a single advance-specified concert date, much less to a FM tour.
