Eric Clapton - She's Waiting

I'm so bored at the moment. Nothing going on, yet. Nobody online to talk to. No good conversations going on here. Just kind of....blah. But it's ok.

Tori's cover of Total Eclipse.

Outsiders - Franz Ferdinand

Just when I didn't think I could love them any more, they outdo themselves and put their last album to shame.

"Dust." From Bare Trees, of course.

I thought you were scared their new release would be bad and you hated the title?

No, I knew it would be good, it was the title that scared me. It's still a horrific title and they all need to be punched three times each by the likes of me for naming it that, but the album itself is f*cking brilliant. Any album that I can listen to all the way through without skipping anything on first listen is aces in my book. It's. Just. So. Good.

Oh, and the album cover is fugly as sin, too.

IMO, they sound a LOT more like Blondie on this new record. It? is sooooooo good.

Definitely. Especially "This Boy" and "The Fallen." "Outsiders," too, but that also has a very Bowie-ish vibe to it; it's similar vocally and it sounds like something that could have been on his Heathen album (and it's so incredibly sexy). The piano on "Fade Together" is beautiful and the lyrics to "Walk Away" are stunning:

The stab of stiletto
On a silent night
Stalin smiles
Hitler laughs
Churchill slaps
Mao Tse-Tung
On the back
