The latest fan club email's selling tactic for the members only t-shirts is that you can spot other fan club members at the shows if they are wearing an official fan club t-shirt.

Gosh, I've NO problem meeting up with anyone I've wanted to meet at the shows via emails, phone calls, and planning. And who says fan club members can't buy as many friggin' t-shirts as they want to give to non-fan club members??

.
You spotted me ok in Vegas with my homemade T-shirt!!!

Well what a surprise! I think Mick will feature heavily in alot of the pictures and videos.

Anyone care to share this stuff with me? I can barely contain my agony at missing out

I'm telling you, the homemade "FIRE JONATHAN TODD" shirts are the way to go I noticed a lot of people reading mine in Cleveland. Someone here even noticed it and posted something here about it the next day!

It's so comforting to know that your LOUSY SEATS for a show (aka fanclub seats) don't diminish your concert experience one bit!

(Seated halfway back in the arena, you can actually feel the positive magnetism between Mick and Lindsey during Mick's drum solo)

Is this where Jonathan was sitting, or were these the reports from the SUPERFANS who joined the fanclub to get the up front seats and somehow didn't know how to WORK THE SYSTEM and ended up at the other end of the arena? I'm sure all of the fanclub members who were worried about their upcoming shows are comforted knowing they won't miss anything sitting at the other end of the arena. Thanks again, Jonathan!

We get to pay extra to meet and greet...each other!!!
What a service to us!

How much is the T-shirt? It should say on the front "What's My Money Going To? Tour 2003" and then on the back "All Alone, we Suffer, Please don't Steal our Dough Away".

I think we should have to pay extra extra extra to wear the black shirt WITH Egyptian jewelry. After all, this is a luxury that the fan club will offer only to the true fan. If only I hadn't sunk my last few confederate dollars into the Brooklyn Bridge last week!

Very funny, Jake!

Frankly, I'd be embarrassed to be seen in a members only t-shirt. Yeah, people will be able to spot me, alright. AS THEY POINT AND LAUGH AND YELL, "SSSSSUUUUCKER!"

It would not surprise me one bit... Get a rally going, complain, let the powers that be know that we fans on the internet are being screwed.

I know that a lot of ppl complained about Stevies other fan club, but, they got more than we are getting from what I hear. We are getting NADA. Nothing

I am also an Eagles fan. I'll be seeing them in July. With regards to Mr. Todd and the Eagles promotion "racket" . . . I'd say "birds of a feather." The Dixie Chicks fans aren't exactly loving how their promoters have treated them. Hopefully the fans are getting the word out on these trendy new scheming practices.

On the other hand, check out how Tom Petty and Sheryl Crow's fan clubs have been run. The fans have something to show for their memberships. All these bands know one another. How did things go so wrong with a few? I guess it all comes down to integrity. And while all these artists "go on and on" about artists rights, it's pretty amazing that they haven't been looking into what their management has set up for their fans. Come on Donald. You know better.

I've been complementing the Sheryl Crow board for a long time now. They know how to treat fans with genuine pre-sale tickets and awesome competition prizes and you don't have to pay up to join a fan club!

They won't get any more of my support for their "artists rights."
I feel like a damn fool for traveling out to LA for that show last year.
Who's going to put on a benefit for fans rights?

I thought I was being paranoid but now more and more people are getting up and getting in the face of these souless a--bites !!!

Tango...Tom Petty's music might not be my glass of tequilia but I appreciate the way he gives a damn about his fans...Ditto for Bruce Springsteen. They CARE about the fans and make sure the Tix are well priced and the Merch is top quality and affordable....

Sheryl Crow's fan management is professionally run as well and Mick could use a lesson in Business Operations from them....

But then again, isn't Mick the one who went bankrupt for his poor business sense ?

Johnathan Todd has found himself a tasty pigeon in Mick !!!
I'll tell you who else has made a boatload of money and has the most loyal fans, are loyal to their fans and best merch-even though I'm not into them- The Dead. Their exhibit at the R&R Hall of Fame is the only free exhibit because they insisted on it. I have a shirt form the Further Festival in '98 that is still in fine sleeping condition and the artwork rocks. Believe me, those guys have plenty of money and their fans, well they're pretty happy even without the pharmaceuticals.
