Here's my review. Sorry if any of it is redundant or has been mentioned before.
I decided to break this review into sections, then give details in each subject. The Day: HOT!! A record-breaking hot day in SoCal. Kim and I got down to the venue at around 3:30 pm. Our tickets were General Admission on the floor, so we wanted to get a good spot. We scored these by using the American Express presale. I was prepared for the heat, so we brought chairs, beach umbrellas, and water. Still, it was HOT! There were about 12 people ahead of us that had been there since the morning hours. It started to finally cool down a little after the sun went behind the building next to us, offering shade. It was great to see some friends already there. (Becca, Jose and Maria) The Venue: This place is TINY. This is the smallest place we’ve ever seen Stevie in, besides House of Blues. It’s probably half the size of the Wiltern. The seating was set up differently for this show - general admission standing in the front floor section, with seating that tiered upwards behind it. The stage was shorter in length and height. I would guess the stage being about 4 feet high- the lowest stage we’ve ever seen Stevie on. The band’s instruments were closer together because the stage wasn’t as long or wide. Definitely a great place to see a show. Security was great too. Beverages were priced moderately – 2 bottled waters only set me back $6.50, a steal compared to most venues. They let us in at 7pm. They issued wristbands right past the entrance gate for the people in general admission. Stevie and the Show: We ended up getting a great spot on the floor – third person back from the stage, dead center. It was actually a little TOO close, but we made due. We were at the most 10 feet from Stevie. Normally we like to be just a couple more feet back so we get even more of Stevie’s line of vision, but the guys behind us were tall, so we weren’t about to switch spaces with them. Michael Grimm opened for Stevie and he was impressive. Very soulful, old-school voice. He was very humble and seemed to really appreciate being there. He sang covers and original songs, then he closed with a Rod Stewart cover that Stevie’s entire band came out and backed him on. (Not Stevie though) He played for about 45 minutes. Then, as scheduled, Stevie came on at 9pm. She opened with Stand Back, wearing a red dress and bluish-green feathers in the right side of her hair. I was so glad she wore them for this show! (She did at the Fillmore shows this past weekend). She was all smiles and full of energy, and we all gave that energy right back. Stevie said to the audience that this wasn’t a “Stevie Nicks Greatest Hits” show, and that she had some new songs she really wanted to do and that she did her very best with her magic sequencer to sequence them into the old songs as seamlessly as possible. It was cute. Kim and I were pantomiming along with her to “For What it’s Worth” and she was totally getting a kick out of that, smiling at us as she sang. She mentioned her father before “Landslide” and how he always thought this song was about him, and she let him think that. She also mentioned to appreciate your parents while they are here. She dedicated “Landslide” to her God-Daughters (Mick’s twins), who were here and to a person named “Livia” who works for Warner Brothers. During “Soldier’s Angel” the background video was just a photo of Stevie from the Enchanted CD with red white and blue behind her. At previous shows, there had been footage of flag-covered coffins. I wonder if she/her people read comments, maybe even on the Ledge, regarding the coffins being a little too sad? Who knows. When she was introducing Annabel Lee she said she likes to pretend she knew Edgar Allen Poe 100 years ago and of course he was married, but of course she still knew him, and kind of smiled. She said “Annabel Lee” was required reading in high school, and that’s when she put it to music on her guitar. As usual, Stevie seemed to really like the fact that we knew the words to the new songs. She was smiling at us a lot, making us smile even more. We get such a Stevie “high” when that happens…sigh…anyway.. Stevie screwed up the first couple verses of I believe Annabel Lee, and for sure on Ghosts are Gone. She kind of mumbled, realized she messed up, stopped singing for a sec, then kind of looked down at her monitor and started the next verse in time. I think this happens because she’s having fun and not really thinking at the moment that she needs the monitor, until it’s time for her to sing. Kim and I just looked at each other like, what the heck?? But it was funny. “Rhiannon” was awesome tonight. She really got into “Moonlight” too. Stevie changed her dress 3 times tonight – red, black, then white. When I saw her sing “Leather and Lace” with her vocal coach, I realized that I had never seen her sing that song live, in person. So that was kind of cool. When she introduced Waddy she mentioned that he had been with her forever, and like her Dad (under her breath she said “Saint Jess”) always said if it isn’t broke, don’t change it. Then she said it kind of felt like her Dad was here tonight. I wanted to make sure Kim got a Stevie handshake during the Edge walk tonight, because the last time she shook her hand was October 2001, so it was a 10 year anniversary for her. We’ve been to tons of shows between that time, but poor Kim always seemed to be skipped during the handshakes. Kim got her handshake tonight, and I got it on video with my phone. I need to figure out how to download it from there to the computer. That was pretty much the only footage I got. They told us before the show while we were in line that per the artist, please refrain from photos, video or audio recording. They also announced it again right before the show that Stevie Nicks requests we refrain from that. I figured getting the Edge walk on video wouldn’t be a big deal to anybody (except to us of course). The crowd tonight was overall pretty respectful to each other and to Stevie. There was a moment when there was a drunk 50-something year old lady to my right trying to start some **** with someone while Stevie was talking, but it dissolved relatively quickly. There wasn’t the constant yelling when Stevie was trying to talk, which was refreshing. Stevie’s sleeves and flowy material that was hanging off her dress looked positively weightless. They seemed to have a life of their own as the fans blew on them, which created a truly magical effect. Kudos to Margi Kent. I bought the Owl T-shirt and 2 keychains. I think the font on the shirt has changed, because I could’ve sworn that when someone posted a photo of it on the Ledge it said Stevie Nicks on it in pink/purplish letters?? The font on my shirt is in gold. I could be wrong though. Another fantastic night with Stevie Nicks. I am still wearing my wristband as I type this. I plan to cut it off tomorrow and put it in my scrapbook along with the tickets and this review. ![]()

Here's a link to the video I shot of the Edge Walk. Kim got her hand shook at :38 or so (We were center stage). It also includes the end of the song where Stevie rocks out.
