People who don't care about animals, or anything besides humans, are short sighted a-holes. And although I was surprised and not pleased by your original abortion comment, and disagree with you vehemently, I think letting it go is cool. I don't really think you have an agenda, per se. I do think you are a nice person with icky ideas, icky priorities, and not enough information.
Which isn't as insulting as it sounds, as you are probably thinking the same thing about me, or others. Like people who don't care about abortions and who do care about animal abuse. And, of course, "icky" is a subjective term.

Even if you have no agenda, you must have known, or at least realize now, that if you mention abortion as wrong, and an important thing to think about, you'll get some serious guff. It's like (an abortion), 4 cells, whereas a dog is already a whole dog.
Also, there is a population problem. Also, there isn't enough people to take care of the kids that already exist in the world. Also, no one wants anyone to have and take care of some kid they don't want or know how to take care of.

It's cool, though, really there is no harm done by you expressing your opinion. I'm not going to accuse you of agendas, I'm just going to say that it appears the bulk of us think your opinion sucks nard disagree with you.
As far as I'm concerned, you've always been pretty nice. I'm sure we all have ideas from our upbringing that stay with us and resist logic. I'll notice the good about you, and largely ignore the bad. It would be nice if everyone thought like me, but it's not going to happen, and that doesn't necessarily mean the person doesn't have anything of value to offer. JMO.

I just think expressing your beliefs on abortion in a fashion that was seemingly dismissive of the original topic at hand made some eyebrows go up.
It was a combo of an off topic comment with some very descriptive language often used by the hard-core anti-abortionists. If you use the language of that group then you will be assumed to be part of that group. I am surprised that you are surprised that you are gettin this response.

The worst part is I don't remember it just now.
It's not the end of the world, I was just so suddenly disappointed when I hit "back", and nothing was there. None of my insightful multiple paragraphs survived. As in, the last 20 minutes of my life and brain wasted, never to be recovered.

And should I need them later, I can't access them. It's like they never existed. But I spent time figuring them out!

Oh, plus, there is a spider here. It just webbed across my screen, and alighted on my desk. Now it is gone, lost in the folds of my mess. Weak.
