Not directly, but maybe there's nostalgia attached because it's Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac. There's kind of instant nostalgia in those names alone, and there probably always will be. And sure the sound of those albums feels new (at least to me) and fresh, but there will always be that signature Mac sound running throughout reminding us of the Mac of old.

I like that song, but the "Jimmy Dean....Jimmy Dean....(deep voice) James Dean....rock ON" bugs me.

Michael Damien. Rich. I remember when he was on Y&R as Danny Romalati! What a tool.

Dude. When I did a search to make sure I had the right guy, I found an online petition to bring him back onto Y&R as Danny. Freaks. I hated him. And Cricket.

Yes, I have. Add that suckass version onto my list.

BTW, Brian - friends went to see Cinderella/Poison the other night & they were shocked at how bad Cinderella was. They were very good when we saw them last year, but this time they said Keifer was a mess, forgetting lyrics & at one point, fell down onstage.

If he landed on his lips, I am sure they broke his fall nicely.

On the radio now: "Hey man, I really, really, really, really, think, yeah, I think that I think, that I like being scared..."

Was that Dangerous Toys? Gawd, I hope not....

Oh, man, this thread has been a fabulously entertaining read. I've been laughing so loud, my coworkers are giving me "why the f u c k isn't he working" looks.

I have to agree with the My Humps song. Gag. Gag. Gag. My boyfriend does this stupid litle gay dance at the clubs while dancing to that song. Makes me want to trip him.

The song I really, really hate with every fiber of me being is that accursed Barbie Girl song. And Crazy by Gnarls Barkley....loved it for a week, then I couldn't get away from it.

Unwritten, Natasha Beddingfield. Puke. And have you seen her weirdo brother? What is wrong with him?

Anything by Rufus Wainright. His monotone I'm-not-really-interested-in-anything-that-I'm-singing voice makes me want to puke, and then gag on my own vomit while convulsing on the floor. His sister on the other hand seems to have a modicum of talent.

Dire Straits: "I want my MTV"? What a STUPID piece of musical crap. "The little faggot is a millionaire" with a custom installed microwave oven? The absolute worst ode to male penis envy I have ever heard in my life.

That's it right now.

Oh, I forgot that damn eggman song by The Beatles. Wtf?! Have some more drugs, weirdo.

I Believe I Can Fly. Really? Then JUMP. Spare me the agony of hearing this song ever again.

Oh. My. God.

Brilliant. As many times as I have tried to describe what drives me out of my mind about that guy's voice, you summed up what I missed. You captured the part of his fey, voice simultaneously placed in his nose and throat while singing underwater thing that really bugs me the most : the fact that he seems utterly bored by his subject matter and what he is doing. I could beat him bloody for being on the Brokeback soundtrack. God how I hate his singing.
On the contrary, I think he is a decent writer.

Exactly.

Rufus is a decent songwriter...but someone else should sing his songs.

On another note, if I have to hear "Dragostea tin dei" by O-Zone again....I'll scream.

Aww, really? I just saw the new Leonard Cohen documentary, "I'm Your Man" a couple of weeks ago and I must say, it made me think twice about Rufus Wainright who I previously thought was a ridiculous fop. He (and his sister) did an amazing job covering Cohen's songs. Martha really blew my mind, actually, all the performers blew my mind, well, everyone except Jarvis Cocker. He totally sucks. But yeah, everyone else was awe inspiring.
