Well, when people were commenting on crimes, convictions, relative use of force, etc. - I suppose they were only talking about that is SA notwithstanding I brought it up in a general American context.

BTW - I have never painted my nails - though I get manicures weekly

Why? why bring it up for America when they were talking about South Africa? I hold that the reasons i previously mentioned still apply. ie, you wanted to talk about something you know about, and have a better frame of reference for, as opposed to the context of the real issue at hand.
And manicures take way longer than painting nails, so either way you spend more time on your nails than I do.
