I LOVE Polly Harvey. I just think people with good music taste like her.

I don't know much about Ani DiFranco's music but I do admire the way she releases all her music independently. I used to have a male friend who adored her though.

I don't think diamondsnake has ever said. He and Ryan are both very young, and it's possible he doesn't know. People shouldn't be forced out of the closet before they're ready, even on a message board.

I think that if you love PJ, you would like at least some of Ani's music. My friend Jen ("Nico" on the Ledge) is who got me into PJ. She's a fan of Ani, Fleetwood Mac, and The Beatles, so I thought she couldn't steer me wrong with music, so I've been seeking out her recommendations. She certainly didn't steer me wrong with PJ! I think she's wonderful.

And about Ani's label--yes, I think that's wonderful that she has the independent label. I also love how political she is, too. I actually didn't get into her because it was a lesboish thing to do; a friend of mine told me I might like some of her songs because she's also very much against capital punishment and so I bought a CD and the rest is history.

He said he was straight at one point. I teased him about seeming gay because he loves watching soap operas so much but I tried to make it clear that I was just joking. I don't really think he's gay. Plus, he's young. I didn't know when I was his age, so I'm sure things could go many different ways.

As for Ryan, I really thought he was just a little bisexual. See, I don't catch on too quickly, do I?
