Hey, nobody has mentioned Cagney And Lacey. Dealt with cancer, alcoholism, discrimination in the workplace.

LOVED Cagney and Lacey!! I was about 13 or 14 when it was on - wouldn't miss an episode. My family thought I was weird.

I have no definite idea....

Jerry Van Dyke turned down the role of Gilligan because he already had gotten the lead roll in MMTC.

The creators/writers Allan Burns & Chris Hayward went on to create & write for the Mary Tyler Moore Show

I thought the theme song was great. One of my favorites ever.

I know it's been ranked the worst show ever more than once. Was it Anne Southern who was the car? I've never seen the show.

And the thing is, Marie can do some downright Horrible things, but I dont think her OR Frank are horrible people at all. The biggest complaint about the show is that the characters arent likeable. I like all 5 of them (almost equally) And all 5 are freaking devious people. My favorite is when Debra gets sneaky and coneiving, because shes always portrayed to be the one taking th ehigh road. The best example of this is the amazing Canister episode

And they're all the biggest bunch of liars in the world

Evan Rachel Wood was absolutely brilliant, and it was the most realistic portrayal of it I've ever seen. I loved this show so much - made me bawl.

Their portrayal of divorce and stepfamilies was also very realistic.

I loved Once and Again. I like just about everything Sela Ward does.

Yeah, I always thought Debra was the Mike Stivic of the bunch. You agree with him but like him less than the nuts.

Hate to say it, but Frank & Marie are very much like my folks - only I live far from them, & my mom isn't too great of a cook.

My grandmother used to watch some military sopa opera that featured a young Sela Ward, so I knew who she was from an early age. Can't say she's ever done a show I'd watch. Remember that show Sisters? (puke)

Oh wow -- i'll have to check it out. I didn't know they were reairing them.

One And Again was AMAZING. It pissed me off when they cancelled the show. Evan Rachel Wood is a great young actress. If you've never seen it, rent the movie Thirteen. The other girl who stars in the film, Nikki Reed, actually wrote it (she's only 17 I think).

Roseanne
The Golden Girls
My So Called Life

You're right actually - they're not horrible people - but they do horrible things - Marie just makes me cringe sometimes.

I LOVE Debra - and I love the canister episode...

But the one ep. that really, I think shows a lot - the suitcase episode

Yes, that finale was shocking to say the least. I need to find out who the Slasher is, and what the hell he or she did to my beloved Christian.

O god those 2 episodes were hilarious. Amy and Robert walk into the kitchen and Robert and Amy are slow dancing. Then when they talk to the manager of the condos they are like "is it the money, we can pay more money"
