I never brush or comb my hair after washing it. I get out, towel dry it, pat it down, and let it dry. It adds character.

Not combing or brushing after washing reduces split ends and keeps your hair healthier.

But you have to be able to pull it off or else you just end up looking like a lazy bastard.

I know, boys are lucky they can do that. But do you really care about split ends if your hair isn't even long enough to get them?

what boy with shortish hair has split ends?
Anyway, when i do that with my hair, it comes out looking...oh, shall we say...matted? you know, like i'm a white person trying to start dreds?

It's the curl that does it...

My hair is long enough to get split ends. It's usually just long enough, I let it get a little shaggy and then I have it cleaned up at the salon. I have somewhat thick and straight hair, so I can pull it off. And white folks with dreds crack me up. They look so bad.

usually. I had one friend, Amber, where it looked really beautiful. Her hair was sooooo long, and thick and curly enough that it formed nice, neat dreds. And she had blue eyes and light skin (dark hair) so it was pretty cool. In gen i agree with you, though. I hate the clumpy, different sized, not held together ones...

She's the exception, then, because I've NEVER seen white folk that looked good in dreds.
