I've got another question for the "religious right":

You keep citing exit polls that say that for 21% of you--moral values were the single most important voting issue. Uhm--would these be the same exit polls that showed John Kerry winning the election? Because you know, they were wrong too! Just saying. . . .You can't have it both ways you know--to believe one is correct and one is wrong would be. . . . what's the word I'm looking for. . . hypocritical, maybe?

Ralph, if you can pull this off, I will take back every bad thing I've ever said about you.
Today, I started talking amongst business acquaintances who I happen to know are Democrats. I found out, they feel the same way I do. I also found out one of their kids, who lives in my neighborhood and is an 18-24 year old was knocked off the voter rolls and forced to vote provisional like my 18 year old was. I wonder how many others there are.
Ain't that the truth? My lifelines are the Democrats on this board, DU, AAR, (Randi, Mike, the Unfiltered folks--hell, the whole lineup are wonderful), and let me please add the name of Keith Olbermann of MSNBC's Countdown who wrote a brilliant blog entry (available at www.bloggermann.com) on the election and possible fraud carried out last week.

Why are we suddenly being innundated with posts from people that hardly ever post who suddenly "object" to our right of free speech?

Also don't forget everyone that ALL PEOPLE who live in "red states" are not "red staters" Over 1 mill. people in GA voted for Kerry, even though Bush won this state by almost 20 pts.

If you look at a county by county map of the election--the map is Purple--not red, not blue. 55 (almost 56) million people voted AGAINST this president and those votes were cast in all 50 states. I can't very well make fun of the "red" states because I live in one! But let me assure you of this-there are liberals everywhere. There are Democrats everywhere. We are not confined to a few select areas in the United States--although if the Republicans had there way. . . .we'd probably all be at Gitmo.

Mine, either. Nothing "caused" my Atheism. I don't believe there is a God -- and that has nothing to do with the actions of Christians.

Oh honey, it was probably more than that. Your machines have potentially serious flaws in them. They leave no paper trail, as I understand it.

I'm taking solace in the fact that Kerry won my county in NC by almost 20 points!

That's the worst argument I've ever heard. I post (and lurk) here all the time because I love the Mac (even though I don't live here... no offense to those who really seem to ) and have since just about the beginning of The Penguin. In fact, since Burnish went away, this is my only stop for FM news whenever I have the chance.

I have complete respect for your opinion and your right to voice it. I like you guys even more because we share a common obsession.

I don't object to anybody's right to say anything. The only thing I have "innundated" you with today is a different set of ideas.

Surely you don't "object" to that?
